Samsung Galaxy Note for $339 USD Including Shipping

I was looking for some reviews on youtube and there was a comment mentioning this website for cheap price on mobile. Have any of you guys dealt with this website before?

Comments

  • It's an LTE model for AT&T — I don't think it would work on any 4G/LTE carrier in Australia.

    • So it can't not work on any carriers here?

Anw the prices seem too good to be true…

  • According to its listed specs, it's not the LTE model. According to its title, it is. Makes it difficult to really know?

With that price ,who cares the 4G network! just want to be sure it can be unlocked easily and used as a regular 3G mobile phone in Australia…

They look like frauds. This is their payment page.
They say its ssl secured; But actually it isn't.

    • It's a shopify hosted e-commerce site. The shopping cart takes you to the hosted (and secured) credit card form.

I cannot comment on the legitimacy of the products or the merchant but the site is otherwise secured.

      https://checkout.shopify.com

      • I'm now inclined to believe that it is probably dodgy.

The supporting posts on the Yahoo site by iphoneKing sound fake. iphoneking is a new profile and has only ever posted about Cellulartree.

Whilst the credit card processing from the shopify link is legit, of concern is receiving an email directing to re-input credit card details on that internal and non-secure page. (pls confirm, is that is what happens? This link …ref http://www.cellulartree.com/pages/credit-card-form ..otherwise does not appear from within the site).

        Run …the other way.

They are frauds, its below cost, end of story

  • This is likely to be a fraud, but even if not it'll be locked to AT&T, and you might have difficulty getting it unlocked from Australia.

In fact, the only way I can see this not being a fraud is if AT&T charges a ridiculous amount for unlocking.

Caveat emptor. They have the factory unlocked model for $359. Shopify is just a payment gateway, who, dare I say is similar to Paypal and other operators. I'd be looking for reviews on this company and what their service is like. However they seem to be new and there is a question on yahoo (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20120507044741AA…) asking whether they are legit. A new entrant to the market offering very low rates could be a scam but it could also be a marketing campaign. It's a risk I wouldn't want to run. By the way their domain name was only registered on the 25/4/2012.

One thing to be aware of is that anyone can write reviews even the company can portray itself to be a customer which might sway your decision. The reason why I say this is in that Yahoo question one of the guys says he has received an Iphone after ordering with them.

Also and this is starting to get a bit long if the other players in the market (Amazon and various Hong Kong sellers) can't offer this pricing how can cellular tree do it?

Do yourself a favour and stay away.
