    Love mine 43"
It is bright enough but the viewing angle is not good enough for 43"
Also I can't connect Dex wirelessly

viewing angle is not good enough for 43"

Can't really sit that close for 43"

      • Yeah I am very very frustrated at the display industry.

The only 16:10 or 16:9 panels which are 4k and decent quality IPS are either 32 inch or 43.

        There's no 34, 36, 38 etc
        Nothing

I would love 36 inch 4k for example. You're right too, 43 is just that damn big you need to sit far away from it.

  • Interesting concept to have the ultra wide mode

    • +1

By their definition, anything that can display black bars above and below the image (ie: letterboxing) has an ultrawide mode šŸ˜‚

      • Yeah, apparently removing a third of the pixels will help you "enjoy your gaming graphics". I never understood the desire for ultrawide monitors when normal 16:9 monitors just as wide are often cheaper.

        • +1

Less pixels to drive on an ultrawide monitor and you're only really sacrificing sky / ground / boring stuff anyway.

Same could be said about 4:3 monitors compared to 16:9

          • @BarneyKB: The switch from 4:3 to 16:9 was generally keeping the same height but making the display wider. Gaming monitors seem to be keeping the width and making the display shorter (narrower top to bottom).

You can always black out pixels, but you can't add more on that were never there.

            • @macrocephalic: Have you used an ultrawide? Their utility in games and spreadsheets is pretty amazing. 21:9 though, not 32:9, I'm not convinced on the super ultrawides yet.

            • @macrocephalic: A 34 UW is the same height as a 27 wide-screen

Looks like it's a VA panel, i really wish IPS was more commonly used still.

  • Should be cheaper considering the M8 line is out.

    • -1

Howā€™s the fact that M8 is out make this cheaper? M8 has a better panel and costs $850. M8 doesnā€™t replace M7. They are 2 different levels of products

      • +1

The newer model M7 is also coming out same time as M8 so it will make this current M7 older.

        • The M70B doesn't support Google assistant

  • I'm happy with mine. The colours don't look as good as IPS but can't complain for the price. I sit about 90-100cm away from it and run it at 125% scaling. No issues with viewing angles for me.

  • "The monitor has in-built functions so you can work without a PC "

    That's piqued my interest

will be utilising the processor for basic tasks like web browsing and remote desktop - pretty cool in a cheap monitor

      • +1

yeah, IIRC it has a browser and office365. I guess that takes care of about 80% of peoples' jobs.

    • Same here.
      It has:-
      Wireless LAN (WiFi5)
      Bluetooth 4.2
      ConnectShare USB
      DLNA Mirroring
      Tizen operating system

  • Bing Lee has the 32ā€ for a few dollars more, but OOS.
I wonder how much stock OW has.
They often seem to run out of stock sooner than other sellersā€¦
Wonder how long this will last before OOS

I bought my M7 43" from their last deal. Paid around the same. Pretty happy overall with this monitor, doing mainly office work - 43" screen size perfect for couple of apps opened next to each other, and some spare real estate on top for minor tasks.
No issues with viewing angles, happy with colours.
The only drawback for me is that it's slightly gimmicky to run it in native 4k 60Hz in windows. It works, but every time you login to windows you need to literally unplug HDMI cable from the monitor, otherwise it's only 30Hz.
Screen could also be a little less glossy, but can get used to it.

No one can operate at 30hz without panadol. I'd be checking graphics drivers & that your HDMI cable supports 4k @ 60hz.
I've one of these monitors & it occaisionally (~ once a month) has wake/sleep issues that's fixed from powering off at the wall.
Works fine on both USB-C (alt mode) & HDMI inputs supporting 4k / 60hz.
DP to HDMI with a suitable cable works fine too.

      • +1

I run on 30hz just fine. The Dell laptop I have from work doesn't do 60hz over hdmi, and the 4k TV I'm using doesn't have DP. Personally I don't find it a problem at all for general desktop work. The colour and texture reproduction on my 4k TV are terrible, but that's a whole other story. Basically 55" 4k real estate is more important that it looking nice.

I've used it with three different computers and it works at 4k60 every time without having to do anything. I just plug it in and it's 4k60.

      • I use it with the hdmi cable included in the box. Updated to the latest Intel video drivers on both my laptops, same problem on both. I don't know what else to try.
I wonder if it's because I run my monitors connected via a Dell D6000 dock, I haven't checked dock's drivers yet.

        • +1

          from the d6000 specs….

          5120 x 2880 (5K) @ 60Hz can be supported with Dual DP1.2 connection / 3840 x 2160 (4K) @ 60Hz can be supported with single DP/HDMI cable connection)

        • Do you have DisplayLink installed and launched?

    • does it have vesa mounting?

      • Yep
        Manual
        32 -100x100
        43 - 200x200

        • thanks

last question im trying to replace 2x24" stacked horizontal monitors with a single vertical 43

24" horizontal width is about 43cm or so

the tech specs look like the vertical size of the 43" is close to the horizontal width of a 24. Any way youd be able to verify that?

          • @furythree: Yeah 24" in portrait eitherside is pretty close… 53~55cm Just center all 3 it & leave a small gap.
But that's a lot of real estate - a 16:9 43" screen is quite large.

  • I have the 32ā€
How do you use the usb c mode? I have 4 Mac products (usb-c/tb) if I put even a genuine thunderbolt 4 cable I do not get any signal at all.
Assuming it must only work with windows?

Apart from that niggle. This is the best monitor I have owned. I donā€™t play games though.

    • Strange. I just plug it in and it works. It even works with my Android phone and tablet.

    • You need at least a USB-c 3.1 gen 2 cable that can do at least 5gbps data transfer that supports 4K video at 60hz

I had a number of high quality USB-c cables that would not work.

I bought a cheap $7 cable from Amazon and it works flawlessly

  • On Mac OS?

  • Anyone see much difference between this model and the newer model LS32BM700UEXXY

    • +1

I think the newer one has faster response (4ms) and slightly brighter (300nits) vs 8ms and 250nits respectively

Thx OP good timing to replace my broken Samsung Tv after 6 years . I think both prices reduced to 497 and 397 , so even cheaper !! And also , the spec is not 4K but itā€™s 2k QHD , as the 4K is $897 , https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/samsung-43ā€¦

    • No, both the 32" and 43" models are 4K.

      • Yes both 4k only newer model

  • Also , Iā€™m claiming this and see how it goes :

The pre-order offer is for the M70B (the new model) vs this one (the M70A, the outgoing model), so you may be out of luck, but happy to hear how it goes.

    • please let us know how it goes

  • No stock

  • 32" was OOS and can add to cart again.

  • The price has jumped to $647 and amazing how they now have stock & next day delivery.

    • Maybe the new stock from the supplier costs more.

In the US it's on sale now for US$400 plus tax which makes it AUD$557 plus tax, so we have pretty similar pricing.
