Correct process to redeem instore promotions

Before you pay, you must select the store within the app.

You go to a screen that shows installments and default payment method.

It also shows the promotion applied as says active promotions already applied .. view

Then you press pay instore with afterpay card, takes you to google pay and you complete transaction

If you follow the correct steps, the discount will apply

    Got this offer a few days ago, paid $100 and didn’t get the discount, then contacted them they offered the same offer again?! So essentially become $200 get $30 even if this time works, if not they will give you another… so on. This company is crap when you tried to contact them no phone number just message. Trying to lure you to a financial hole, think twice before you try to redeem this offer, cos no way they will compensate you if discount not working.

      Same here. Such a scam. They said that they can’t apply the discount on transaction that has already been done. So offered me the offer again to spend another $100 to get the $30, what a joke.

          Fair Trading /ACCC / Fiance Ombudsman complaints help if they are doing this systematically. Couple nice fines might smarten them up

      Happened to me too, made a complaint and they offered the same solution. This is crap, I wouldn't have even made that purchase if it wasn't for the offer. Why should I have to spend more to get the voucher they offered me? And given that it's happened to others here, why would I take that risk?

      I'll let them know I'm taking it to Fair Trading/ACCC and see if that might result in an actual resolution.

      The exact same thing happened to me. They want me to shop and try my luck again instead of correcting the first technical glitch. Once I replied and said I expected a better experience, I just got a blunt "Sorry nothing we can do, but please let us know if you don't use the new promo before the expiry date" Are these guys for real? No, I will not be trusting you a second time when you won't fix your first mistake. No, I will not be a guinea pig for your broken system.

    Afterpay offers are pretty poor now. Best I get is $5 off $50 spent. Used to be minimum $10.
    I've got 2 offers available but nothing interesting.

    Sounds like most of Afterpay's offers - they dont work. Tried to get the referral bonus a couple months ago but no one I spoke to had a referral link.

        If you ever setup your instore card number, it specifically says you have to choose the store within the app before you pay with afterpay.

      I opened the app, there was a popup that said enjoy $30 off your next in-store order. I clicked 'Get it now" followed the screens to the final payment and paid in store. Discount still didn't apply.

      I lodged a ticket and their first email clearly said it was a recent issue that had affected eligible orders. But they refuse to do anything about it. Instead, they want me to try again as they've generously applied the same offer to my account a second time.

    I have a weird thing happening in the app. My limit is $900, spent $100 at Big W. Then I got the $5 credit as first time instore user. Should expect $805 to spend right ? Then spent $19.95 at bedbathntable. The balance to spend should be saying $900-100+5-19.95=785.05, but it is showing as $813.79. $28.74 difference. What the ? It doesn't look like they have actually crediting the $30 anywhere.

      It doesnt get credited. Gets deducted from total cart. So final amount should include the discount

    I also faced the same issue, the promotion didn't apply so I raised it with them and they loaded the offer again to my account and asked me to do another purchase of $100, clearly sound like their game plan. No way I am going it and I have threatened to take them to ACCC. If everyone lodges this with ACCC, it might help. These bloody scammers need to be screwed and punished with maximum fine so they don't use these type of money making tactics in future.

    i had the same issue with the discount not applying.

    contacted support and they have processed a $30 refund to my bank account. additionally, they have added a $30 off $50 spend promotion for my next online order (expiry 2023)

    I got the $30 refund to my bank account but not the additional spend $50 and get $30 off promotion, looks like it depends on everyone's luck whether they get this or not.
