$49 for 50 home deliveries - what postage would they pay (even in bulk) for a delivery - something approaching $1?
I'am a subscriber and highly recommend the magazine. I am on the $99 yearly subscription, so very impressed with this deal. The mag cuts out all the crap from the daily local and international newspapers, summarises major issues and leaves you with only the good stuff. You can't beat it for $1 a week.

Good price and it gives a fairly impartial view of the week's affairs. Although it doesn't provide much depth to the stories.
Savings based on buying it in store, as http://theweek.com.au/subscribe#HWEK2 has it for $99 for a year.
Still a decent deal… just not as big of a deal as scoopon makes it out to be.
