got this on PC since launch pretty much played all of 3 hours of it in multiplayer. its not as good as cold war I wouldn't go back to it.

    • Every year people say "It's not as good as [last year's COD]"

      • +1

people are still saying it though a year after which is not good. there is so much less in the way of game modes in zombies and other multiplayer modes. That would be why.

        • Not saying you're wrong, I just find it amusing and wonder how bad they can get 😂

          • +1

@King Steuart: its not bad as in game play, you just feel ripped off with less game modes. If you had never played cold war before then I woudl say Vangard is fine. but if you have played cold war then you not going to like vanguard that much. Unless all you like is single players then well your fine both are good.

Modern Warfare (2019) was the last COD I genuinely enjoyed

        • We're in luck for this year

      • +1

lol yeah. I personally enjoy cold war more, but this is still fun game

    • Does Cold War still have a good online presence?

  • Is Cold War still at a good price anywhere?

    • +1

It's discontinued so tough chance of finding a new retail copy. Try ebay/marketplace for used and/or new copies.

    • It's on sale sometimes but not as regular as Vanguard or Modern Warfare 2019
it was on sale on Harve few weeks ago https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/696622

      • I wish I was able to grab the PS5 version for $34! What a steal!

    • might be able to find one for 40 on marketplace for ps5, or less. But Id definitely recommend it. Such a fun game to play.

  • This of Battlefield 2042 for $9? /s

Do people care about the single player in these games anymore?

    • +1

      Is this a joke?

      • Genuine question

        • +1

Well, personally, I pretty much only play single player. I have played some online multiplayer but much prefer a game with a great story line. Be it a FPS or something like The Last of Us.
The other thing, of course, is the requirement to pay for something like PS Plus.

          • @bboz: I meant Call of Duty single player campaigns, specifically.

            • @muzdiddy: Right gotcha. Can't comment on that specifically.

    • +1

Agree…getting those online prestige levels was the be all and end all…Luckily for me i quit COD many years ago as being highly competitive and having a bad internet connection was not good for my health lol I would love to get back into it one day but sadly Australia's NBN is still woeful years later.

    • I think the campaign is really short for this one?

  • Or this…was $46 last week:

    Ghostwire: Tokyo - PlayStation 5 https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B098SYNBSH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i…

  • Vanguard has a faster TTK than Cold War, so it's more similar to Modern Warfare (2019) in playstyle. I like it a lot.

But if you're on the fence, better just to wait for the release of Modern Warfare 2 later this year. Almost guaranteed to have a fast TTK as well.

    • +1

what's TTK if you don't mind?

      edit: nvm, Time-to-kill.

Tempted but will wait for it to go on game pass in like a years time when microsoft buys activision

  • Bought this on PC Christmas time for $60 something. Played it for a month straight levelled up all the guns and haven't touched it since. Died out.

    Warzone is much more fun.
