Pro (heh) tip: don't bother with the Extreme Pro cards. Waste of money. The differences are minimal.

    Extreme Pro
    There are two categories.
    32GB cards
    Read: 95mbps
    Write: 90mbps

    64GB and larger cards
Read: 170mb/s - ONLY in special readers, which no-one has. Otherwise, 90mbps to 104mbps
    Write: 90mbps

    Extreme
    There are three categories.
    16/32GB - AVOID
Read: 90mbps - so, same as Extreme Pro, under normal circumstances
Write: 40mbps - you can get this on the "tough" cards, like the Endurance and such. May as well get a card that will last 5 times longer for the same speed.

    64GB
Read: 150mbps - ONLY in special readers, which no-one has. Otherwise, 90mbps to 104mbps. Same as Extreme Pro.
    Write: 60mbps - okay, a bit slower.

    128GB and larger cards:
Read: 150mb/s - ONLY in special readers, which no-one has. Otherwise, 90mbps to 104mbps. Same as Extreme Pro.
Write: 70mbps - basically same as Extreme Pro. Real world speeds are negligibly different.

    Same warranties. Same temperature resistance.

    Differences?
    UHS-1 vs UHS-II

    128GB Extreme: $21
    128GB Extreme Pro: $34

    ======

By the by, I have both a Sandisk micro SD (not full size SD, like these) Extreme and Extreme Pro, both 128GB.

Both get 77mbps write speeds and 88-90mbps read speeds. Also, both are the same A2 rating (4000 IOPS)

thanks for the write up! Would you mind linking me the 128GB Extreme for $21? I can't seem to find it, cheers!

      • Where's the edit button? It seems I've been licking lead lately.

I was misremembering. $21 was for Ultra. $27 was Extreme. $34 is Extreme Pro

No edit once someone has replied to your comment or after an hour of posting.

          • @CodeXD: So it seems. Well, now everyone knows how smooth my brain is!

            Anyway, spammed comments instead.

    • I'll add: there are two types (at least?) of Extreme Pro.

The other kind have 300mbps read, 260mbps write.

      $266 for 128GB
