  • Best console platform for performance for this? Xbox Series X or PS5?

    • Series X I think had the edge?

    • +1

      It’s complicated.

      PS4 backwards compatible on PS5 is a locked 60fps.
      PS5 native has some drops.
Xbox backwards compatible on Series X is locked 60fos, but a real pain the ass (entirely offline, physically disconnect your console from the internet to avoid it automatically downloading the Series X version).

VRR changes things. Does your Tv support it?

      • +1

Yep, have VRR… i have an LG CX.

        • Apparently the PS5 version may have some stuttering and tearing with VRR on.

Hmm. Seems PS4 backwards compatible is still the best.

That all said, I played through on the PS5 native in performance mode. I never didn't enjoy it.

  • Bought this at launch and it's still unopened. Gotta finish HFW first (also bought at launch). Honestly, not sure I will have time to even get to this with a baby coming in 3 months lol.

I finished Fallout 4 while my firstborn was in hospital with the Mrs for the first couple of nights. They kicked me out at 8pm so I had some time to kill!

    • Lol best get to it, you can’t pause so that doesn’t bode well for looking after a baby!

      • It doesn't pause?! Like only during boss fights or generally? I have never played a FS game before, boy are these an entirely different breed of games!

        • Correct. This isn't so bad, all the enemies spawn in the same locations every time you die, so as long as you're not actively fighting anything you can usually just stand still and be safe. There's no saving your game manually either, the game will just remember where you're standing when you quit.

But yeah, not great if you're mid fight and the phone rings.

        • The only place it's essentially paused are sites of grace

Fromsoftware games are not for everyone and that's a very well known fact. If you prefer the stock standard ubisoft open world games, well, good for you!

Indeed, I don't buy into bs games that are hyped up and then being sold off in bulk in second hand forums after ppl realise how ridiculous they are. Definitely wouldn't spend anything close to 70 bucks for it.

        • +1

This game totally met the hype, 10/10

        • There is a lot of hype, but it is well deserved. That doesn’t mean it is for everyone.

If this was on Rotten Tomatoes, it might get a sub 50% fresh rating, but for those fresh ratings, they’d all be 10/10.

Have it writ upon thy meagre grave

  • I wish there is demo. I wanna try it out before buy! I enjoyed watching overwhelming positive review videos. I dislike too hard games. I don't know I'll like it or not.

    • +1

You can refund it on steam if you play <2hrs.

    • +1

You can also use eb games 7 day return policy

  • It's hard but ive found most of the times you die it's due to poor framerate or the game interface. So many times ive died cause i couldn't lock onto the right guy or you're on your horse behind someone and he attacks forward but somehow you take damage behind him
