Recommendations for a Soft Double Mattress? Must Be Under 35kg

I'm disabled and find that heavy mattresses make lifting the corners to change sheets and rotating the mattress as recommended really difficult for me.

My current mattress is an original Noa purchased in 2019, which is about 38kg. I also find it both too firm and with no edge support at the same time. It also retains body heat too much.

My wishlist is basically as follows:
* $1500 budget
* No firmer than medium
* No heavier than 35kg
* Does not sleep hot
* Some edge support

I've tried asking other places only to have people say that the weight of their mattress doesn't bother them, so I haven't been able to get anywhere.

    Maybe you could reach out to mattress companies and ask them how much each mattress weighs?

    A lot of them offer a trial period, so you could test out the mattress, if you dont like how it feels to sleep on, return it.

    • I've asked a few already. One was even 53kg for a double. The hard part for me is finding soft ones because the most popular like sleeping duck are over 40kg, and most of the most recommended Bed in a Box brands run medium firm or firm.

  • I highly recommend TEMPUR brand. I have been sleeping on one for over 20 years and it's still perfect. It's not cheap but it's light and adapt to your weight distribution and sleeping position. Give it a look.

    • Also have tempur - love it - but it does sleep hot
