During checkout, the correct code is FREESHIP
Just for reference I am using one of these and it works great with my aircon, tv, speakers. I got the version with the temperature /humidity sensor, mainly so my aircon can turn on when it gets too hot.
You get the version with the sensor cable?
Yep that's right, I got it a while back when it was ~$45, I have animals in the home and it gets really hot in summer so I set the aircon to turn on when it reached a set temperature.
Anyone know if you can you add an IR sequence on to these?
I bought a cheap TV that resets the backlight to full brightness everytime you turn it on. WAY too bright and uses 5x more power than needed.
Would be good to get it to do this sequence with the push of one button.
Source 2,5,8,0, down,down,enter, up,up, enter, left 20 times.
(Sounds like an old Mortal Kombat fatality for the backlight).
Is this something that could use IFTTT?
People still use that?
It's old, but needing to push a collection of buttons and then one of them 20x in a row seems like exactly what IFTTT was setup to do
Anyone know if they work in Home Assistant ?
also interested if it's HA compatible.
Currently using broadlink mini but could user another IR blaster in another area.
KOGAN smart home product usually Tuya so if that the case here can use tuya integration in HA
Edit: According Kogan web site Kogan smart home app are license by Tuya. So it a tuya unit. Instead of registered with kogan app … register with Tuya app and use that details to add into HA
If anyone does this, I am interested to know if say you added 5 remotes to it whether they show up in Home Assistant i.e. what devices/entities show up when added.
It will be similar to broadlink or other IR blaster i suspect, only one remote.device_name will be added to HA not individual item inside the the ir blaster in the apps. then in the setting or automation yaml you use this remote.device_name to create switches or other entities to control, alot of work (like any other IR blaster), not plug and play eg have to learn/capture IR codes for each command
@huu: I have a Logitech Harmony Elite/Hub and with the Harmony HASS integration any existing Activities setup on the hub show on HA. Wonder if there are any predefined HASS integrations that would work with these.
@Borg: I bought one to see what can i do with it when it arrive. I got the harmony hub and the broadlink ir. the harmony as you said have activities, where as the broadlink is just HA connect Infrared emitter, it wont do anything until HA tells it what to emmit. so each individual commands need to be learning and coded into HA (it does NOT download existing codes from broadlink apps), so i suspect this is like the broadlink.
Broadlink IR is popular enough to have a lot of useful HA custom_components for it.
This is my first Tuya product, just see how things goes
@huu: Ah, good to know. Sounds like a few hobby hours are in store for you. Enjoy and hope it doesn't end up being too frustrating :-).
Works great on my aircon.. but limited functions.. anybody know what brand/code to use for a Blitzwolf VP6 projector? It doesn't show on the list. I'm thinking there is a generic chinese brand that blitzwolf rebadged . Thanks
Thanks Op ordered 2
Does it work for RF devises and can it setup schedules for devices?
where does the code go?
