Hmm apparently need to provide internet bank access for your account where the salary comes in. wonder if its secure.

    • It's secure man i've used it a couple times since for wage advances.

      • +3

        This doesn't make it secure…

Be aware of what terms and conditions your back have on using / integrating these types of services.

        • The app has 100k+ downloads on the google play store and 6k+ reviews 4.8/5 stars man the scrutiny here is unreal.

    • +2

Providing your internet banking username / password may violate your terms and conditions and expose you to risk. For example Bendigo Bank say this about screen scraping:

Please note that it is against terms and conditions of our banking products for you to provide your Internet Banking credentials (Access ID, Password and Four-digit PIN) to a third party.

      and:

If you believe your details may have become known to another person or third party, you should log on to e-banking immediately and change your Password.

This means any fraud protection the financial institution offers may be null and void when you share your password.

Use of the services is financially unwise. Speak to a financial counsellor first.

It’s disgusting how many BNPL and pay day advance companies are popping up.

Taking advantage of those financially ignorant or desperate in my opinion.

      • I'm predicting a BNPL bust in a year or two. I expect them to all go under, being unprofitable. Maybe one or two will survive when the userbase is big enough but they'll have to jack prices still.

        • +1

but they'll have to jack prices still.

Which they'll pass on to the retailers. Retailers aren't allowed to charge more for BNPL under their T&Cs, so the prices will be jacked up for all consumers, not just those using BNPL.

People need to stop using BNPL. But idiots on here keep using them for "deals".

          • @PainToad: "Deals" make them lose money. I've no issue with that. It'll help bury them faster.

            • @justtoreply: You partaking in the "deals" increases their customer base and increases revenue. These are more important to start ups than profits for getting more investors. So even if you think you're "sticking it to them", you're actually supporting them.

Just borrow the minimum $50 pay it back instantly $2.50 fee/ 5% make $47.50 man this is a bargain website man people.come here to save and make money people aren't here for financial advice man.

      • +4

I value my credit history more than $47.50.

        • +1

it doesn't require a credit check

          • +1

@Mokr: Even if that is true, how do you think a pay day advance loan is going to look on your bank statement when you apply at a lender?

            • @PainToad: they ask you to close the credit card/after pay, but yes obviously if i was buying a house in two years woulnd't be doing this.

              • @Mokr: just dont do it it's really not worth it for $50 srsly

      • +1

the title should say $47.50 then… do we get $50 just create account and no borrow made?

  • +3

5% fee lol - refer to BeforePay's attempt to do the same thing and shroud it behind "budgeting" help

I feel that consumer debt products, and ancillary means to promote them, should not be deals.

    • +4

      Agree 100%

    • +1

credit cards are the same concept

      • +2

        Agree

      • +2

you should say cash out from credit card is the same concept.

you dont get charge cash advance fee if no cash out made from credit card

      • +1

Credit cards are different as they are regulated and can be used at zero cost if paid off in full, partly because of merchant fees.

    • +1

      Agree

  • Unfortunately it only works with your salary account. Normally I would connect it to a throwaway Up/86400/revolut account but there's no chance in hell they're getting my transaction history on my main, not for fifty bucks anyway

  • great deal but my minimum was $100 so i only make $45 profit :(

  • +2

Don't support businesses that offer this service.

  • Do we get a credit check on sign up?

    • Nope.

  • If your salary is paid into a savings account (e.g. ING Savings Maximiser), don't waste your time applying.

They only accept if your salary goes into a transaction account.

  • $50 bucks to sell your "Soul" ? Everytime I see some silly department installing a camera I point out to the early migrants: Hey Brother! Another spirit sucker!

  • Wow… with the amount of bad debt in Australia at the moment, the past thing we need to predatory pay day lenders popping up. Negging because this is dodgy AF…
