  • Good deal

I check my blood pressure every day and send to my coach weekly.

Having Bluetooth functionality I've found ia awesome.

Just pull the data once a week and put into a spreadsheet.

  • how about something like this? It's only $39.95

Thanks but does anyone actually test the difference between a good one and a not so good one? I have used a $25 dollars one and the doctor's one. The result were so similar. I would say + or - 2% not even! and I could only assumed the expensive one that the doctor used, was more accurate! I guess at the end of the day, these monitoring devices are there for providing indicative figures or a guideline rather. If the result is constantly high then you need to see doctor and start taking tablet.

          ^^ this.

my wife required ongoing blood pressure monitoring. I bought a $10 digital BP machine from aliexpress.

I took it into the doctors office and used the Drs BP machine and the $10 one.

          they were pretty much equal.

A&D is a decent brand if you are looking for a cheap monitor.

the bluetooth makes a big difference so you don’t need to write it into a book, and if you forget the book when you go to the doctor it’s a nuisance, i usually print out the graphs and if i forget have the graphs on my phone ……..

  • Thanks Op. ordered one

    Omron Omircon

  • If you are worried about Afib you shouldn't get it "diagnosed" by a blood pressure monitor. Get an ECG capable smart watch(apple or samsung) or device or let the professionals handle it. I think this is marketing BS to sell at a premium price

    • +1

yes the afib is marketing, but the bluetooth is a game changer as it graphs the variations for you.
no need to put into excel ….

Even better, just do it manually by feeling your pulse. If your heartrate is irregular and your GP doesn't know about it, your GP should know about it as soon as possible.

  • The biggest advantage is the Bluetooth function on this unit.
It provides you with with the convenience of having the data stored on your phone through an app and having the ability to export it to a spreadsheet.
Far better then using a pen and notepad which justifies the extra cost for the convenience.
If you only plan to check your blood pressure once in a while I think a cheaper unit will work just as well.
