I've been following this site since long and decided to check on one of the issues which I have lately started facing with Prezzee and Shop back.
So I understand shop back internally uses Prezee to provide gift cards and thus I think the issue is related.
Whenever I am trying to buy any gift cards which are on flash sale - (for limited time / limited redemptions) my payment never goes through.
Prezee says - Its rejected by their 3rd party payment moderator and in Shopback it just gives a message that payment not success.
This has been troubling me recently as in past couple of months it worked all fine - I used my coles Mastercard to pay for them.
Then I thought it might be issues with coles master cards, and thus i tried using my NAB visa debit and credit cards, but still the same issue.
Has any one faced these issues or is aware what needs to be done - I definitely don't wanna miss on the amazing cashbacks which pop up during flash sales.
I had same issue with prezee and from what I could figure out it was not card related as it was rejecting my bank cards , my Amex, my company cards (2x) not to mention all the pending charges even though it rejected. Very annoying!!!
Call centre is based somewhere in India and they are rude as all hell. Also claim because the payment Authenticator is 3rd party they can’t even tell you why it’s happening or fix it other than flagging and assuming someone will fix it. I bought cards again recently and they went through fine so I assume it was fixed on the backend. Never got a confirmation from prezee though even though I’m sure the recorded conversation said they would confirm and let me know.
Not sure about ShopBack but you can call prezee and ask them to check with the Authenticator.
