  • Site not loading for me!
Is this a switch or a splitter?

    • Who knows for sure! The description above says there are three outputs (of varying bandwidths). On the site, the product title says "splitter" and "Bi-Direction" yet the thumbnail says "2 in 1 out", One of the demonstration images makes it sure look like its a switch, with a PC and a PS4 both hooked up to one monitor, but then the image of the product itself has the three HDMI ports labelled as "Input", "Output 1" and "Output 2", and there is a single button on top. The product description has a large image that says "1 IN 2 OR 2 IN 1" whatever the hell that means.

Maybe it's both, and that's what "Bi-Direction" is referring to?

      • I understand that to mean it can split a single signal to 2 devices/screens (1 IN 2), or allow swapping of 2 devices on output device/display (2 IN 1).

  • Seems like this will be good for solving my issue with having only 1 HDMI port on my work PC. Bought :). Thanks OP

    • Won't be able to give you 2 simultaneous HDMI outputs if that's what you're after.

      • Ad showed otherwise? Bummer if so… looking to output to two monitors

    • My understanding is you would like to get more HDMI port from you PC to get multiple screen on at once. If this the case, dont buy this one. You will need HDMI splitter 1 in 2 out adapter for multi display. See on eBay and read the description you will understand what you actually need.

      • Thanks, cancelled my order :)

  • +1

How well do these work? I’m sick of pulling out HDMI cables from one thing to another

    • Me too ! My TV has only 1 HDMI output port and I really need a splitter to plug up 2 devices.

  • Has anyone tried this auto switch device?, so far I haven't found one that actually switches automatically properly without using amtheir remote control, well they have been the cheaper switches I've tried (actually they cost more then this one)

I noticed there's always power going through the hdmi cable so automatic switching one device off and switching other one on won't trigger the switch

Though switching the device off the from the power point and switching the other one from the power point will trigger automatic switching so the devices are supplying power always to the switch device, switching off a device to standby still let's power to the switch device through hdmi cables, I'm assuming

Why wondering anyway tried this device and can confirm works worrying when a remote too doesn't come with this one

Edit: Ok only one output HDMI port is 4k @ 60hz umm don't see the point
