Hi recently purchased 65 inch LG C1, seems to sit very low with it's legs on a TV unit.
Haven't purchased a soundbar to go with it yet. Just wondering what's people's hacks or what equipment have they used too work with the C1?
Cheers many thanks.

I used one of these from Bunnings but yes, this is exactly what we did so that the remote could see the IR receiver of the TV even with our soundbar in front.
Worked perfectly for years until we wall mounted it (highly recommended if you can!!)
Cheers thanks,Any pic of them together,if you dnT mind?
My one is 77, and ok with 110cm lack shelf.
65 inch would look like below

you can also use multiple smaller lack shelf, but personally i like single long 110cm lack shelf.

That looks a great neat job,🙌 is you shelf
screwed/ attached or use adhesive to the tv unit below.?
I doubt it would move much with the weight of the tv on top but just at first glance would it be slidy tv on the shelf / shelf to tv unit?
@Francis82: i used anti skidding pad between TV unit and the shelf, and it doesn't move at all as the TV is heavy enough
@Mandalorians: Cheersmany thanks
Speakers beside the tv
What have you used?
NAD Stereo Amp and B&W 685 speakers
Thank you ,must check them out 🙌🙌
Wall mount the tv, especially if there are kids in the house.
Thanks it's def one to consider ,was just trying to use the unit that have a the moment to see how it goes , also have a Nvidia shield and ps5 sitting beside it
You can still use the unit to house your nvidia shield and ps5, as well as the soundbar. The reason (apart from superior aesthetics) for wallmounting is that it is a safety concern when used with the stand. Kids standing in front of the tv climbing/grabbing at it can cause it to topple onto them.
Yea thanks wee have a young one and very energetic dog who know doubt will get into room some day so that is a possibility 😂 ,did you get an electrician in to move sockets or cabling and install the bracket/ Or use some cable hiding equipment /trunking/conduit on the surface?
@Francis82: Definitely recommend the wall mount then, you have an accident just waiting to happen otherwise :(
I didn’t need any power sockets installed but they did cut out an extra hole/space for hiding cabling, adjacent to the power socket. They also supplied and installed the bracket. Can’t remember if it was an electrician or just a guy who advertised tv wall mount installations.
77” C1 for reference, and we have a Sony HT-Z9RF (5.1ch) hooked up to it, as well as a PS5.
I can't wall mount where I have my 65" CX, so it's on a https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B07MT87SN5 on the floor which puts the screen above the TV cabinet (which measures 160 x 60 x 35). Have an LG SN11RG soundbar sitting on the cabinet deck. The LG C series OLEDs are very bottom heavy and situate the VESA mounting points towards the bottom rather than centred, so any mounting option will need to account for these points.
Cheers many thanks,for the tips
You bought one of the BEST TVs on the market. Don't pair it with a mediocre soundbar audio experience! Consider a proper surround sound system to get the most out of it, whether it's for movies or gaming.
What would you suggest ,budget would $1500 max ,that's why I was going down soundbar route, as I've seen home theatres with crazy prices, room is 3.8 x3.4m and I've a ps5 ,Nvidia shield aswel to be hooked up also ,google assistant would be cool but not as important.
I suppose due to size constraints, a soundbar makes sense but if so, strongly consider having rear surround speakers at least with it.
LG have a really good soundbar + sub + 2 rear wireless speaker kit that you can consider.
Brilliant thanks, have you used this one ?
There are some sanus stands that might work. We have a stand designed for tvs up to 65inch and a Sonos Playbase with our smaller c1 and it works a treat.
Unfortunately you missed that ozbargain by a couple of months but the stand is still around and works a treat in the right situation.
There are other ‘universal’ models around - the second link is another one from Sanus but there are similar models from others.
Thanks for the great advice must look them up🙌🙌🙌
