I see they don't sell in Australia
If I order one from overseas (Amazon), will it work here and will there be enough Samsung phones around to make it worthwhile?

To clarify
I understand the SmartTag uses some soft of Samsung tech to detect the 'tag' if its lost. Ie someone elses phone must be in range if its not in range of your own phone.
Is this tech used and available in AU? It seems like a waste if only my wifes phone detect if she lost her keys in the shopping centre etc.
Did you get one? Any good?
Got my wife one for her bday - she has not used it yet.
Can confirm they work as expected, I have the one linked above (actually purchased it from US amazon as they were OOS at the time).
yeah they work perfectly in Australia. I bought one at the Samsung store when I was in Los Angeles and brought it back home to Adelaide and it works no problems here, exactly the same as it did in LA. Tracking is very accurate on them too, would definitely recommend.
I spoke to someone at Samsung and they said the reason they don’t sell them in Aus is the same as the AirTags with the button batteries. They also said that international models shouldd still work fine.
They work and they do sell them in Australia.
