I would also like to hear experience with this machine. I am about to buy it.

    • Heard the app and mapping is bad

Don't have this one - I have the previous model (which isn't as good as this one).

It does ok. It won't remove stubborn crap, but it will wipe up a good size room. One of the benefits (compared to a vacuum robot) is that it is -very- quiet.

Mine doesn't have a spray mechanism relying on a water tank and a mop. I pre-spray the floor with a spray bottle with a water/detergent mix which I think helps it clean a bit better.

I'm happy with it. Like most of these devices it won't get all the nooks and crannies, but it does mean most of the floor gets cleaned more often than I would have done it.

I've been using one for about a year now I suppose… Click together wooden floors less the bedrooms and tiled bathroom in an 80-ish sqm apartment, traffic dust from the main road comes through the window, and we run a roborock s6 daily on a sched.

It does a great job - we've noticed the wood get cleaner and cleaner over time. Usually run it with the green floor cleaner stuff. Its mapping does lines across the room, and where it stops to turn around, it leaves a patch of crud which builds up over time. I need to go round the edges with our koh mop once in a blue moon to relieve the edges of the buildup.

The pads are machine washable, which is a massive thing as if you've got a couple you can have one or more handy whenever.

The map's not incredible, but it's got no-go zones and does whats needed.

I have been using the same unit of the previous model, Braava 300, for the past 10 years.

Mapping is not very good - and it has to pause often to record the location of obstacles.

But using a wet Swiffer Sweeper pad does a good day to day clean up. Has a water tank to keep the pad wet. Works very quietly. It's basically the same as getting down on your knees to run a damp sponge along the ground - which is something that I'm definitely not keen on doing - especially in the toilet.

I was looking recently too. I have the iRobot S7+. I did a quick look at HN and they suggested to get the Braava Jet so they can work in partnership. If the vacuum has already mapped the house it makes it much easier. The mop can go through after the vacuuming is done.

They told me that all of the mops can only hold water in the tank. Braava Jet have made a special solution that can be used in its tank. I don't want a mop just pushing water around.

  • I have a Narwal T10 and Tecbot M1. Both of these are far more superior for mopping than this rubbish.

Self cleaning of the wash pad is what you are paying a premium for!

Is it common that people have two?

    • Do they really clean the pads properly? It's quite hard to believe self-cleaning.

  • With the Deboot X1 Omni released, wait for a sale to get that around the 2k mark. The best mopping robot on the market by far and on par with the best vacuuming robot in 1 unit that that self cleans the mopping pads and has auto empty of the dust bin.

Sorry but check the Deboot X1 Omini reviews on Amazon. Pretty bad. Most bad reviews have one star

  • got this one a month ago. a few things i didn't like about it compared to the roborock s7
    1) can't cancel job without sending it home to base
    2) 2 map runs on dry will finally give you the map of ur house. if u don't complete it, u're flying blind
    3) no remote navigation control. roborock has a joystick option in the app that lets u drive the direction of the bot.
    4) doesn't allow option to specify to do a specific room twice in the room. roborock allowed u to say 3x kitchen, 2x lounge room, 1x bedrooms.
    5) runs well in bright light. struggles at night time so u have to light up ur house like its forth of july
    6) loud af :P

    • Isn't Roborock S7 a vacuum? The braava jet m6 is a mop.

      • sorry, you're right, its a combine mop and vacuum…so isn't a good comparison on my behalf.
same concept though but yeah… roborock tries to do both

  • Seems people are recommending those 2-in-1 products. Are they good at both vacuuming and mopping?

I have got a vacuuming robot already. I need one that is good at mopping. Not just an add-on to avacuum.
