Seems a decent discount for these, especially with the extra 5% on top of S&S, works out ~ 28c ea.
Size 4 and 6 are also discounted although not as much ($42.50 S&S plus extra 5% off for first delivery)

  • Thanks. Hopefully see some more discounts a bit more often. Hardly go on sale these days. These are actually too big for now but just bought some as they are so cheap.

    • Yes I’ve been watching for a while too. My son still fits size 4 at 13kg but for this price I can bump him up

      • We actually ration out the more expensive Huggies at the moment. Use mostly Huggies Essentials unless we know he's going to go unchanged for a while like at night or if we go out.

We've tried the cheap Aldi ones but they gave him a rash really quickly. The Huggies essential ones don't give him a rash but aren't as absorbent as the Ultra Dry ones so we've ended up with a few leaks. As long as we don't wait too long between changes they have been a good cheaper alternative. We haven't really tried any other brands yet but we're reluctant to change as he's been rash free essentially other than when tried said Aldi ones.

        • I mainly use cloth/reusable nappies but when we go away or others are helping care for the boys we use Huggies and I was doing the same rationing since the last deal!.I have just been trying the Hugs and Bubs ones (only available at Amazon and Aussie made) with my younger son (10kg - sized up to the size 4) and I’ve actually been pretty happy with them for him. Even overnight they were fine. But my eldest likes the nappy pants better as he can pull them on and off himself when using the potty (toilet training kind of started)

@Leelee: We did think about reusable for a split second or two but just couldn't do it. I guess if you have more than child then the savings must be pretty decent. Good for the environment too of course.

Edit: Hmm, those Hugs and Bubs ones are pretty cheap. A lot to get through in a box if you end up having issues. I'll speak to the boss about them. Thanks : )

            • @ozbs25: Yep the cloth options are good for the environment, a bigger initial outlay but works for us, with just using sposies while we are away etc. But not everyone feels up to it and the cleaning / washing etc.
The Hugs & Bubs are a big box but I figured worth a try seeing my son doesn’t have particularly sensitive skin. All the reviews looked like sample reviews so I should go and add mine in actually. Unless Huggies go on sale I’d be happy to keep using for him when we have him in sposies

              • @Leelee: I have pretty bad/sensitive skin so we've always been worried about what our offspring would be like. He's been OK so far. Pretty dry with eczema during winter. Had to go through lots of moisturiser to keep it even somewhat under control. Outside of winter he has been OK though.

Before we had him we did think about cloth nappies. My wife is pretty fussy though so she would have to prewash, boil and wash or something to that effect. When we used the nappies in the hospital and thought about what she would have to do we couldn't go through with it.

                • @ozbs25: Glad to hear his skin isn’t too bad. My littlest has eczema but it’s never affected his nappy area thankfully. Like you say the moisturizing helps keep things at bay.
The washing with cloth is a bit extra, often for many why it seems daunting or hard. Thankfully not soaking in buckets and boiling like it used to be for our mums! I’m in a routine now after 2 1/2 years, but have a break every now and then with disposables as I need. I figure each cloth nappy change is one less nappy in landfill so it all helps a little. But definitely a personal choice as it doesn’t suit everyone

        • We also ration huggies only for night time and usually use Coles brand nappy (Cub) for day time use and so far it has been working well. It used to be cheaper but now it's around 26c each.

Great price.. bought some and don't even have kids.

    • +1

It is not hard to make one.

      • +3

it is if you are single

  • +1

    gift for my nephew sorted

  • Got two thanks

  • Thanks grabbed 4. Been using the ultimates so hopefully the ultra dry is just as good.

    • Where do u buy yours from? Any good deals?
Costco (crossroads) used to have ultimates but then they stopped selling them grrr

      • Usually just Amazon. Maybe I don't belong on Ozbargain but risking a leaking nappy anytime of day to save a few dollars is not my idea of fun lol.

  • Got 3 packs, much cheaper than 1/2 price at Coles. Actually turns out to be <26c each with the 15% S&S discount and additional 5% discount (~24c each if buying 2 packs, dunno why). Cheers, OP.

  • OOS

  • Damm missed out :(

  • I don't know if this helps or not but Big W have it on sale for half price.

    https://www.bigw.com.au/product/huggies-ultra-dry-nappy-pant…

Amazon - Box of 108 = Approx 26 cents or 24 cents as mentioned above
    Big w - 4x packs of 26 = 104 = approx 35 cents each.

A little bit more expensive but if you're desperate…

  • Size 6 is never on sale
