Snow Pants under $100 - for NZ Ski

Hey guys, I'm going to ski in NZ for 2 days - any recommendation for Ski pants? I'm new to snowboarding so don't have to be a good brand…

For 2 days? Just hire them.

Yes, for two days hire them.

  • Anaconda stores, joining their Club is free:
    Option 1 for $59
    Option 2 for $91

If you plan on going to the snow more than once - buying some average gear you will come out in front. Pity no Aldi snow gear sale this year however decathlon have decent prices.

Invest in a helmet or hire one

Look at marketplace /gumtree. You'll find a tonne of bargains. Snowboard trader Australia has lots of buy swap sell.

  • I've been looking as well, the best option seems to be clearance stock for various ski gear, but there's not much right now.

Others have suggested cheap Anaconda/Decathlon gear however I think renting is better then this as its highly like to be better then anaconda's/decathlons 5000mm waterproof and breathable gear, I have no experience in the snow but it sounds like a fall in the snow will mean you might get wet through your clothes which can potentially stop you skiing until its dried, and if the temperature isn't perfect, you are either going to be too cold due to poor insulation or too hot due to poor breathability.

  • Thanks guys!! I ended up getting some superdary snow pants - found them in DFO for 80 bucks, not too bad IMO
