I guess pre-order goodies for phones and others are finished for a while. Not much hype until next Feb/March year I suppose? Samsung has more competitors these for phones these days and are still playing catch-up with a few of their appliances. There are still some decent deals on appliances pretty regularly
BUT while I do think of them as a bit of a 'premium' brand, Samsung products are getting absurdly expensive for certain, popular items like phones, while also removing features that made them stand out from competitors. 2k AUD for a phone is getting silly tbh, and I'm someone who has exclusively used multiple iterations of the note series with zero qualms about paying a premium for it.
Samsung phones always felt less restrictive when compared to apple phones at least, but that's not really the case anymore. The Samsung S line is also becoming bloated with super niche features that most are now seeing they won't get worthwhile use out of. The whole 'different chipsets for different markets' thing. Having to have multiple accounts for everything, that awkwardly interact with each other etc. Samsung service/repair centres are a nightmare to deal with as well and some straight forward warranty issues are taking months to action. Their insurance deals are about as transparent as a mud pie etc etc.
Although I will say the Samsung vacuums and microwaves are really high quality and priced competitively.
At the moment, I only tend to find most Samsung items 'worth it' through the education portal, you can find some seriously good deals on appliances through here if you're patient.
But the number one thing that frustrates me is how many times the Samsung store constantly bricks itself for me. Slow and really buggy with poor product image quality, error messages and 'oops something went wrong' every time I use the education portal as well.
There's a deal right now. $400 off S22, $450 off S22+, $500 off Ultra.
Interesting thing is they now accept up to 2 devices to be traded in. Anyone know whether you get 2x the bonus for it?
if you dont see anything on front page with 100+ updoots in 30 minutes there is probably no good deal stack available at that time.
