Wusthof Knife Shaprpening Service, Anyone Used It?

Has anyone used this service and if so how did it go?

For the cost of return postage to have 7 knives sharpened seems pretty good seeing i suck at using a stone, but I would hope that the sharpening is done correctly.

    probably done on a belt and heats the sh1t out of the edge

    Could be wrong but I'm sure that's what I was offered when I tried to get my Globals sharpened at a "certified sharpener"

    I have used it before for one Wusthof chefs knife. Was a bit of a pain to send it to Perth and to package it safely but it was returned in a timely manner and they did a great job of sharpening. No scratches or anything and they put a good edge on it.

      sounds like i might invest in it, hopefully they put new stickers on too

    They also check the condition of the knife when you send them in. My parents got one knife replaced (free of charge) when they sent a set in for sharpening.
