  • I have the 75ts as we speak. Are these better? To my knowledge the Elite series is relatively new

    • These ones are a bit lighter, a bit more water/dust proof and you can use the left bud on its own (important for some ppl).

I don't think it's a huge upgrade otherwise. I think technically the sound is a bit better but doubt you or I would notice.

      • +2

Finally an independent left bud! I agree, but tbh my right is my preference anyway. That's true, the 75ts are really good, but if it's a deal, it doesn't hurt to have a spare pair of buds lying around

        • +1

Best thing about both is that it essentially doubles the battery life if keep forgetting to charge the case like me

I have the jailbird vistas but the call quality is terrible

      • Do you reckon the ANC is better? I'm still on the 65t which has no ANC whatsover haha. Probably any upgrade is way better haha.

        • +2

I've got these after having the 65T, which I loved but sadly lost the left earbud of the latter. The 65Ts were great in terms of passive noise cancelling - a terrific seal that meant I had to remove them to make out any voices.

The Pro 7s are nice and the ANC does make a difference, but a quick scan of reviews will show that it's a fair way off the leaders like Sony XM4 and the passive sound resistance is not as good as my 65T. That said, overall it's a bit better at keeping out outside sound thanks to the ANC, and at this price, it's a reasonable upgrade to get improved ANC, class leading water and dust resistance and a small size. The case is reasonably compact but I miss the 65T's…

@y2k: Would you say the sound quality is better than the 65T or its difficult to hear any difference?

            • @twlandre: I can’t discern much difference but I mainly listen to podcasts - I’m no sound engineer!

          • @y2k: I've been looking for someone to provide exactly this commentary. Thank you - I'll be keeping the 65t's because of their wonderful fit / seal.

        • I have 7 Pro and do not notice any difference between having ANC on and off. Microphone still picks up A LOT of surrounding noise and wind so the person on the other end does not have a great experience. I upgrade every year (65t, 75t, 85t, now the 7) and each time battery life takes a huge leap. I don't like the new case design though - impossible to openwith one hand.

          • @oleglap: Do you reckon they’re good for calls inside and outside the house? Thanks.

          • @oleglap: Great point - the case opening sucks and Jabra clearly blew it by not having a simple little botch like for other units.I’ve seen some silicone cases that solve this issue, but obviously make the case a little bulkier.

  • Wonder if office works will price beat this. They are more reluctant these days.

    • +3

They shouldn't have any problem price matching Amazon

      • Will give it a short later today. Thanks OP!

Just got a pair at OW for $198.

  • +2

Would these stay in your ear as well as the elite 7 active for running and exercise? They both have deals right now, but this is cheaper.

Edit: OP, you should probably add to this deal that the Elite 7 Active are only $178 on the same Amazon page…

  • +1

Great price! Can someone confirm if this can connect to two devices simultaneously like the 65t I have now? It's such a useful feature and I can't live without it!

*Jabra official site says yes to multipoint connection and yet critics like The Verge say no.

    • +1

Yeah from firmware 2.0.0 Jabra added multipoint for both the elite 7 active and pro. See here :https://youtu.be/uHzfOmZhpm0

      • Cool, thanks for confirming.

Officeworks have now matched the price for the elite 7 and the 7 Pro.

Sigh, back to Officeworks I go to return my buds I purchased and then posted here

  • It's 198 almost everywhere now. The official site has the black one in stocks for 198 as well.

    • There goes my chance to price beat. Though I'm pretty confident Amazon will drop it by a dollar just to troll the competitors. Hopefully soon.

  • I was initially intrigued by these for the microphone but they don't seem to be that great in reality. They pick up all the ambient noise making calls outside untenable. Check Reddit.

    • The reviews ranges from best in class to mediocre depends on where you get the information. I believe most people here looking to purchase a Jabra are for their self claimed best microphone for caller, and it may not be perfect but I don't think there's any other wireless buds at this price point better than the elite 7pro.

      • Is this Better for calls compared to AirPods Pro? I make a lot of calls and typically walking around inside and outside

        • From what I've read they're only good for calls in really quiet areas

JB HiFi have the same sale. Just picked up the Elite 7 Active Black for $179. New firmware update out today for the Elite 7 series as well.

tested at the gym for an hour. great so far. sits firmly in the ears. ANC works fairly well. Very happy so far. Will test a 6km run tomorrow morning.

      • How did the run go?

        • +1

Perfect. Fits well. Never felt like they were going to fall out. Very loud volume. ANC works fairly well.

  • Can I use buttons to change volume while playing music just like the 65T, which is an essential feature for me

    • Nope, no dedicated buttons for volume. Sadly. You have just one button on each earbud, which can be programmed. I have yet to figure out how to lower the volume using these buttons.

      • From memory it's press and hold on left bud for volume down. Press and hold right bud for volume up. The App gives you a lesson on the buttons.

  • Hello internet, I have a 75t. It works fine at the gym. I am just wondering if anyone uses it while riding a bike or scooter. I have a 30minutes ride to work and back everyday(i know it;s not safe on earbuds while riding but i am basically on bike path throughout the 30mins ride) and the hearthrough function is just terrible and amplifies the wind noise which deafens my ears. Does anyone know if the new elite series reduces hearthrough wind noises and better microphones compared to 75t?

    • +1

I'm not a cyclist, but would it be safe to turn hear-through off and just remove your left earbud?

I suspect Elite 7 Pro will still give you the whooshing sound as the air is still hitting the mics at speed

Ive got the elite 7 active. Id avoid these for now. The problems i face the most are

    Ineffective/non existent ANC
    They dont automatically pair
No one can make out what youre saying on calls
These are designed and stated by jabra to only be compatible with mobile devices. Learnt this the hard way
You can connect them to other devices such as a laptop but youll suffer from latency
Being lighter youll encounter charging problems

Ive already returned one pair for another and same problems

A real shame as im a jabra loyalist. At least i was until i got the 7’s

For the price if you just want something to use for exercise or casual use its a good deal.

If doing a lot of work/video calls or just calls in general best avoided. Unless you really dont like your job then you can avoid work time with the excuse of a failing headset

  • +1

Got a pair of Actives. Cheers OP

  • Seems that there is only gold beige available now
