Hi guys,
Recently dropped my pocofone f1 and totally smashed the screen :( So it is time for a new phone, although it was getting glitchy so I am not too sad.
I have managed to get my list down to the following, and have included the prices I can get them at through my work as I get commercial discounts at quite a few places. Would like to keep under $450, but can go up to $500 if really worth it.
Just looking for opinions on which one to get, or if there is something else that should be on the list?
Motorola – EDGE 20 FUSION 5G $420
Motorola – G51 5G $361
Samsung – Galaxy A52 – $466.10
Nokia – X20 – $496
Motorola – G50 5G – $248
Oppo – A74 5G $340.96
SAMSUNG – GALAXY A22 5G – $279.20
Oppo – A54 5G $276.43
I like a big screen, and NFC isn't a total deal breaker if the phone is absolutely incredible, but would be highly prefered. Must have a 3.5mm headphone jack though (have iphone for work and i hate hate hate the no headphone jack, combined with needing to share it with the charger). I use it for calls, texts, streaming and other basic stuff (stupid low graphics games that are a total waste of time pretty much!).
No grey market suggestions please, as I don't want to have warranty issues down the track (although unlikely, it just isn't worth the stress), plus needs to be at a physical store so I can get it in the next few days as this phone wont last much longer.
Any help is super appreciated.
The Samsung Galaxy A32 and Galaxy A52s 5G would be my top pick.
Galaxy A22 5G looks pretty good value at $316.. It's using the newer Dimensity 700 5G based on 7nm, which makes it fairly competitive against the Snapdragon 480 5G found in the Oppo A54 5G.
Moto G50 5G also uses Dimensity 700 but the trade off is the lower resolution display. I'll give this a miss if display quality is a concern.
The biggest loser would be the Nokia X20, as it lacks AMOLED display and everything else is lackluster for it's price, so it's easily outclassed by the premium low-end Samsungs.
