Delivery cost rooted in to the item prices, amirite?
Don't forget it's at least a $3 service fee too by this point
A service fee by a delivery service too.
KFC app also has Free Delivery tonight when ordering their "Friday Night Footy Feast" ($37.95)
Or as I like to call it 1 meal for jimothy
/#whycantiloseweightstarterpack
Enough for lunch the next day I keep telling myself
…as I eat the rest of it at midnight
Mate it’s not your fault the tenders are so darn delicious
…that's what Jim said?
Step janitor what r u doing
@Jimothy Wongingtons: gettin in trendin stepwong
Comorjimothy.
The KFC app delivery is supplied via Doordash apparently.
Make of that what you will, positive or negative.
6 pieces of Original Recipe Chicken, 8 Original Tenders, 6 Nuggets, 1 Regular Popcorn Chicken, 2 Large Chips and 3 Dipping Sauces.
I feel like you'd have a serious case of dry mouth at the end of this without using the sauce properly.
is it marked up for delivery?
post deal
I've used Menulog precisely 3 times for KFC. Twice it had not arrived after 2 hours, and my interactions with customer support was "Oh, it's just a few minutes away now."
It never came.
The third time, it just never came and they cancelled it when I called.
So yeah… good luck receiving it.
Still better than DoorDash! I waited 80 minutes for my meal yesterday and they forgot a part of it!!!!
That isn't any fault of Doordash. Either the restaurant forgot to make/bag something (most likely) or the driver left it at the restaurant (unlikely, and mostly fault of the front staff).
OP actually dealt with Menulog (I believe the main option is a phone number) and was given no explanation, reimbursement etc.
Doordash on the hand have an automatic credit option or a live chat that can and do fully refund you (if you deal with their pampering for a few minutes)
Combine with regular discounts and promotions, I have no idea how Doordash is profitable but it keeps me returning as a customer.
It is cause they don’t pay their drivers as much normally compared to Menulog
@Joshminey: A) Evidence
B) How is driver pay linked to whether the restaurant staff remember all sides for an order?
Don't know about your area but mine there's never a shortage of delivery drivers on Doordash. Why wouldn't they focus on other platforms if they got paid a lot more? Uber Eats could especially use a few.
@decc0: I drive for both and from experience it is less normally
Most of the doordash drivers avoid KFC due to excessive wait times.
I had a Menulog order arrive an hour late after ordering it hours in advanced, meaning we were left hanging. When I complained they only offered me a $5 voucher (don't take this). I pushed for a refund and it took a lot of effort for it to be done. You can't talk to anyone who has actual authority to do a refund but they can 'forward your complaint'. It's terrible. The problem is that they are relying on random Joes and Janes to deliver your food, and their system is very 'just in time' (regardless of when you actually place the order), so there's a good chance it will be late or not arrive at all (either they can't get a driver, or the driver eats your food cos they're paid very little). I deleted the app after this last incident.
Anyone can refund on menulog you talk to in customer service, every time i insisted on a refund for a very good reason they gave me a refund and a voucher of $5.
I guess it depends on how much you order from them.
There's one time they (profanity) up my schedule order and sent it one day early when I wasn't home. They gave me $50 voucher for my $43 order. No refund 😬
They always offer me a choice either a refund and small voucher, or a voucher worth more than the refund value as an option.
Ive only ever asked for a refund 2 times though in extreme situations.
There was a difficult menulog rep who wouldn't give a refund the 2nd time, but I just kept repeating the situation to her, over and over, and if that had happened to her how she would react, and she finally relented.
@garetz: Strangely they never offered a full refund to me.
And you accepted like a cuck.
@KLoNe: The restaurant gave me another order for free on the scheduled date. 😬
I wouldn’t say the pay is very little the pay is around 1.5 dollars per km travelled so for a 6km delivery you get around 10 dollars
How long ago was this?
Like this week
Do the drivers get lower pay for these deals?
Only if they get equity in the company for building a user base? ;)
KFC won’t start preparing the order until the rider arrives at the restaurant and inform the staff. Most of the riders don’t get compensation when they are waiting at the restaurant that’s why especially for KFC order, it takes much longer than other orders.
Can confirm as a Menulog driver this is the case.
That must really suck. Pretty inefficient way of making money.
Menulog do give us drivers some money if we have to wait more than 10 minutes for an order but it isn’t much
@Joshminey: Before you accept a job, do you get to see what and where you’re picking it up?
@No Child Support: You get to see the restaurant you are going to and the delivery address correct
why is it then when ever i am waiting in store for a take out order from KFC there is always delivery bags waiting to be picked up and often i see a drivers come in go to the counter, demand service, flash their phone grab food and leave
Depends on the KFC most of the them wait till the driver arrives
How does the pay work when you have 5 orders in your car at once? I've seen a driver go all around the world on GPS on their way to delivering me KFC and they still had several other KFC orders in the car. Think it was doordash
They would be using multiple apps DoorDash only allows you to have 2 orders at once.
Correct. Most drivers avoid KFC
Is it just me who hasn't been able to order wicked wings from KFC via the app or menulog for a while now?
there is a shortage of wicked wings and it seems not getting better any time soon, I know someone worked in their supplier called ingham, and been told they are short staffed and have other issue going on (due to covid and other factor).
RIP my wings, one of the few thing I really loved in KFC
Does anyone know if you can use Cashrewards with this code?
Was thinking that right now, before ordering…🤔
It's only eligible thru the website. My app for Menulog keeps trying to open…🤔
Is it possible to pick which KFC the food comes from? My local KFC is garbage but there is one a few Ks away that's very good.
Depends, if the other one delivers to your area you should see both KFCs and be able to choose the one you want.
Should have an option for both with (Suburb) but if it doesn't simply change the address to be closer to the good KFC, add item to cart, change address back.
Thanks brandogs, you're the top dog in takeaway deals =)
So overpriced. For example, the "mixed feast" has: 4x original recipe chicken, 3x sauce and 2x sides for $27.95 + $8.95 delivery + 10% service fee. Even if you get free delivery on this it will be $30.74 ($39.69 without).
Compare that with the "cheap as chips meal" from the app, which has 8x original recipe chicken, 6x nuggets, 2x sauce and 4x sides all for $23.95 + $8.95 delivery for a total of $32.90. That's twice as much food for about the same price. Menulog is price jacking so much then adding some useless discounts which does not change the fact that it is well overpriced and not really a deal.
If I gave you a random rock and said it was worth $500 then gave you a special discount code that would reduce it to $50, the rock is still worthless despite the overinflated price. This reminds me of websites that always have overpriced tech and constantly put them on sale to make it seem like a deal when in reality it is still cheaper elsewhere.
I'm not debating that M/log is expensive, its unfortunate people who has to order food (don't have transport, or can't drive, isolating, convenience factor etc) does get ripped off.
Only a deal when there are multiple discounts added up.
Mixed Feast has 4x chickens, 6 tenders, 6 nuggets and 2x sides, $25 via KFC app, $28 at Menulog (before the service fee). Service fee $3 and delivery $9.
You forgot to include the 6x tenders and nuggs.
Cheap as Chips has 8x chickens, 6 nuggets, and 2x more sides thus as you said, a much better deal. Thanks for the pointer, i'm ordering that next weekend =)
I didn't forget them, they just didn't show up in the order https://i.imgur.com/Mkl5NMH.png
Another example of Menulog being garbage
Even with the tenders and nuggets it is still a bad "deal", but at least it isn't as bad as I originally thought.
Praise the Kentucky lords
