Our 10 year old 34L Samsung died so need to find a relative straight away replacement. Looks to be a lack of any decent microwave deals around at the moment.
Anyone got a current recommendation? 34-40l kind of size. LG Neo seems do be the default OzBargain pick in the $200-$300 range? (Too bad no Easter weekend Myer or good guys deals to bring them down to mid $200s like in the past)

not nearby, so brand new at like $275 from costco seems like its not that good value unless you can pickup
Be wary of this model. I bought the same model in Sept 2020 and mine has stopped working today. The microwave turns on but the heating function no longer works. If you read reviews, there a fair few similar reports.
Going to try my luck with Panasonic next.
Do keep in mind that people will typically only leave reviews when a product has a problem. If LG sells 100,000 microwaves and there's a 1% failure rate, you'll more likely hear from the 1,000 unhappy customers than the 99,000 happy ones.
FWIW the two that I bought for home and work have been working fine for the past three years. I just bought another two for work.
Cheap - buy the BigW microwave. Does everything a microwave needs to do. Nothing fancy but heats up the food
I looked a microwaves recently. They all have silly UE issues - Samsung has really dark glass so you can’t see what is cooking, LG has weird ways of setting cooking times, some have an irritating melody
The only one I found with a simple number pad, good size and nothing annoying was a Sharp. On sale atm, $249
