Just bought the xiaomi for 200 rrp is 350,and can't recommend it enough, did some research and it seems like this one is quite recommended

    • Where on earth did you get it for 200? They haven't been on OzBargain for months.

It was like 4 weeks ago lol, the xiaomi 3h…203$ off ebay.

  • I will do a search for it! Any issues for getting replacement filters? I have been told some brands are very hard to purchase replacements when needed.

I got this one https://www.harveynorman.com.au/philips-series-1000-air-puri… and it’s great! A family member has one of the models up and she loves it as well. Honestly can’t fault it and has really helped with my allergies, dust in the room, and a recent test of covid in the house (we haven’t ended up catching it)

    • The Phillips stuff generally goes on sale too, mine was $279

  • Xiaomi 3H. Had it for 2.5 years. Works well. Filters buy online. Can be pricey or cheap if on sale and stock up

In bedroom we have Dyson Tower one, again works well and is very quiet. I wouldn’t put a 3H in bedroom as it is powerful and better use in the Living/Kitchen area.

    • You can’t put it in the bedroom because it’s too noisy or?

You can put the 3H in a bedroom, however the 3H is powerful and I think overkill for a bedroom.
But in a bedroom your air levels shouldn't be that bad so the 3H won't be as noisy anyway.

When I cook, there is smoke and the 3H kicks on at full power and reduces the smoke in the entire living room.

  • Thanks to all for the opinions. I can see there are many different models and price seems to be similar. Will decide soon what to go with depending on room size and noise levels. Anyone tried one of the sunbeam models?
