Thanks, that makes sense.
A little different with Telstra Network with there IMVO's,.. a locked Telstra phone or Boost (telstra network) phone both will work with a Telstra or Boost sim but these sims wont work with,…..
ALDImobile, Belong Mobile, Lycamobile, Woolworths Mobile etc, even though these providers all use the Telstra network
Both Boost and Telstra are the only companies that have branded prepaid phones (rebranded phones made by other companies), that explains why they block there other Telstra IMVO's to allow there sims to work on there phones (and blocked to Optus and Vodafone sims) as the phones are discounted by Telstra and Boost and want customers to stay on there network to recoup the discounts on there discounted prepaid phones (why locked phones are usually cheaper then unlocked ones)
Edit: I'm sure I could've explained above better but to early in the morning for me lolz
I bought an optus prepaid when my phone went away for repair, amd it worked okay. I can't recall if it was locked or not.
I've never encountered a situation where a SIM from a service provider like amaysim that uses Optus as its carrier doesn't work in a phone locked to Optus. A phone locked to Optus works with SIMs from any service provider that uses the Optus network.
But Vodafone is a different network/carrier. If a phone is locked to the Vodafone network its not going to work with an amaysim SIM that's trying to connect to the Optus network
