Travel to Bali for when I have recovered from covid

I am currently isolating at home for COVID, but in the next month I will be going to Bali. To get into the country I would I need a PCR test. Since I am positive with covid that could mean that I am positive with covid by then (although I have fully recovered). I could get a medical certificate but they would require one from government hospital and not the normal clinical GP. What should I do?

In terms of insurance, what insurance should I get? I've talked to one and they considered that since I have covid it is conditioned as a pre medical and it would not be covered if I test positive for covid prior to departure.

  • i thought there was a 7 day isolation period and that only ended if you tested negative on the 7th day? i don't think you will be testing positive for a month after recovery.

Some people shed viral fragments for a while afterwards. Not likely but can’t rule it out.

  • Wait ten days then get a pcr, if negative don’t worry.
If positive/still shedding, then think about getting more paperwork.
    Saline spray also helps.

    • Have you got the experience of getting the viral shedding?
Does the Saline help to reduce with getting a negative PCR result?

Does the Saline help to reduce with getting a negative PCR result?

I presume the saline is to help clear out the nostrils of any remaining viral fragments, which would then potentially lead to a negative PCR test result.

TL;DR: saline spray to clean your nostrils.

        • Oh ok, I'll get one
          Thanks

you'll be alright, don't overthink it.

  • Indonesia requires negative PCR test. I saw on Indonesian forum that airlines didn't let anyone with positive PCR test & recovery clearance letter to board the plane. But hopefully you'll test negative before you fly to Bali. My friend and her family got covid ~3 weeks before their trip, fortunately everyone tested negative ~2 weeks later.

About travel insurance, have you checked Go Insurance?

    • Oh, so you need a recovery clearance letter as a backup ?
      Which forum was this ?
