    This isn't an "Ozbargain".

    • I’ve been waiting for this game to drop to like $50… never seems to get there

      • Once BOTW2 comes it will.

      • it has been around $50 a few times

      • +3

hitting $50 is very rare, i have seen a limited time deal on Amazon for $50, but i wonder how many people were able to get the deal. I bought mine for $50 second hand on gumtree. the game totally worth it even for full price.

        • It's been $50 quite a few times over the years. You just need to take your chance when it comes up.

Remember this game is from the wii u days…

          • @Circly: Isn't both wii u and switch version released at the same time?

            • @wesker: Yup it was a switch launch title and the last wii u game by Nintendo.

But it shows you how long the game has been out.

        • i believe it was $50 during prime days and some christmas

      • Buy 2nd hand

      Merely matching Price of Target.

  • I wonder if Nintendo will ever bring back their 'gold' or whatever it is they used to call them additions where they were basically the must have games for the system but cheaper……..pretty sure they had them back in the GameCube days but can't recall them doing it since…

    • +1

Both the 3DS and Wii U had these. They were called https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_Selects

Nintendo have became very anti-consumer this generation.

      • +2

I'd argue they have always been anti consumer.

Making users pay for the same retro games over and over whilst shutting down those platforms is horrible, suing and putting copyright infringements notices on users modding their own device for their own purposes.

Nintendo hasn't been the good guy ever, they have been like this since the 80s.

        • +1

True. But more so this generation.

eg. Nintendo use to make reliable hardware. Now they keep selling defective Joy Cons.

          • @PainToad: Can't believe they haven't fixed joycon drift. So much arrogance.

But I guess they get away with it as their customers buy it anyway.

          • @PainToad: The N64 joystick says hi haha
But I agree the joycons thing is not good enough, although it's not impacted me since I play with Pro controllers which all still feel great.

              @cook99:

he N64 joystick says hi haha

Good point. I recently repaired my N64 stick.

              • @PainToad: I still remember the fights on who had to use the 'crunchy' grey controller filled with white powder for Goldeneye multiplayer 😂

They literally couldn't run as fast the controller was so bad

      • Not sure their policy of rarely reducing prices for games is anti consumer …in fact, it's pro consumer! At least you know whether you buy it today, tomorrow, a year or 3 from now, the price is consistent!

Now….charging for games over and over by re-releasing them and bundling them and putting them on their paid online service is a different thing….

        • +1

How about emulated games on newer consoles just to refresh the rrp back to full?

Yeah that's why I feel good pirating Nintendo stuff

        • Not sure their policy of rarely reducing prices for games is anti consumer …in fact, it's pro consumer! At least you know whether you buy it today, tomorrow, a year or 3 from now, the price is consistent!

          Lol.

          • +2

@PainToad: No? If I make a game and tell people right off the bat that's it's going to be $50 forever, isn't that a good thing?

Also pro consumer because you can sell your copy a couple of years later and it's still worth something! How much are used versions of The Last Of Us 2 going for these days in comparison….?

The Legend of Zelda golden cartridge for NES? If they do that is a must purchase item for collectors.

    • Probably not as others suggested. But I wish they push the BotW+DLC cartridge to EU market like they did in JP and HK. BotW need an all-in-one cartridge.

Not condoning piracy but the Wii U version on CEMU seems to be the best way to experience this game. Includes framerate patches, texture overhauls and graphics options setting it way above the switch version.

    • Any idea how powerful a PC you need to have to get this up and running? Would a 1650 be sufficient graphics wise….?

      • Probably for 1080p but may need something beefier for 4K or higher.

  • They just keep printing Zelda breath of the wild, i wish they do the same with Xenoblade 2, i don't want to buy it for $100+

    • I saw my local eb games had a preowned XBC 2, for $79. Call your local eb games to see if you have any luck.

  • Ozbargainers complaining about the prices of popular Nintendo games will never get old!

Price elasticity of demand…how does it work?

  • $69 is good price, but you can wait for more shopback
