    Words or less comps are judged. Winners are picked based on whatever criteria the judging panel sets but usually based on humour.

    Some "words or less" comps are specifically random draw according to the T&C.
    
    And I bet a lot of them are effectively random draw, they draw a bunch randomly, and pick one they like the looks of.

      This is basically what I thought, they draw, check what your wrote and if they don't like they draw again.
