Hi, had a minor collision.
Operator of other vehicle feel they are not at fault. I disagree. Comprehensively insured, but don’t want to lodge it with insurance. Got the call Friday from his insurance as he never took rego details. Calling them tomorrow to book in for an assessment of the vehicle.
Based on the video, let me hear your thoughts on the driving in the video, music choice and even vehicle choice.

Ok. I'm not seeing it. At what times on the video is the OP 'closing the gap' in response to the blue car indicating?
And, how much as an estimate, did the OP close the gap by? Or, is it a case that he didn't open up to a 3 the or 4 car gap to allow for a safe merge?
@megaclix: Well there is a car length gap @ 10 seconds while the other car was clearly indicating.
At 20 seconds there’s less than a car length gap followed by a ‘War da fark’ in broken English.
It’s the choice the OP made to not let the car in. He might not technically be in the wrong but he very easily could have avoided the accident.
The car changing lanes is 100% at fault. Looks like OP doesn't react appropriately but remember the camera probably has a better front view than the driver due to the A pillar being in the way. This does happen a lot and is easy to judge without being in that car yourselves. Doesn't change the fact the onus is on the lane changer to perform that manoeuvre safely.
