    Valid for pick up orders?

    • +2

Yes, pick up is fine :)

Last time I picked up a 20c mayo sachet from Sushi Train for a $13.30 profit. Workers were so confused lol

    • +4

I think I will put a cap, a pair of sunglasses and a mask on when I pick up my 20c order tomorrow. lol

      • -1

can i order the 20c mayo from sushi train and don't collect it? Will cashrewards still track it?

        • +4

No, you need to ensure that the order is finalised (marked as picked up or delivered) to be eligible for cashback.

      • I will put a cap, a pair of sunglasses

Doesn't look appropriate attire after 6pm.

    • +2

which shop sells 20c mayo? BTW, after this comment, will all the mayo sachet be ozbargained?

    • +16

      $13.30 profit

Use the profit to buy food from the actual shop without paying the markup by uber.

    • +10

Don’t be cheap, at least get a coffee or something

      • +6

Already had lunch plans and didn't want to forfeit free money. This is OzBargain after all

        • +1

          6-11 PM only… No.Lunch

      • I was thinking to get coke last time but thought that will be a huge waste so ended up buying cold food and ate it on the next day. This time I will take brandogs's approach.

    • +3

      Workers were so confused lol

After tomorrow, it will be interesting if people can comment below all the different reactions they get when they pick up a 10c or a 20c item from their menu. I can almost imagine the adrenaline rush in the worker when they try to find your order only to discover that you wanted a sauce sachet and look at you puzzled. We can almost film the scene and make a prime time advertisement on tv or youtube advertising ozbargain or promoting cashrewards LOL.

Why is this activity being celebrated? No surer way to kill off this type of deal in the future than by "gaming" the offer.

        • I know this may kill the deal in the future (similar to the Amazon trick to save delivery) but didn't want to spoil the celebration atmosphere so I didn't mention before your comment. Although many sushi train are not conveniently located, the cost to drive to get to one may be too much for some, many users may still opt to buy food in the local shop by uber instead of getting a 10c sauce from a far place.

          • +1

            @htc: which amazon trick?

            • @suchan: I believe it is ordering enough items to reach the free shipping threshold, then cancelling the items you didn't want while still remaining eligible for free shipping .

            • @suchan: You used to be able to buy individual items from the "combo" menu for the discounted price (other people bought this + this + this for this amount!).

              Muppets ruined it.

    • +2

      I'm tight but I just can't do this…

      • +4

I just came up with a game plan before I walked in. "I just cooked some karaage and found out I had no mayo, I know this is strange but this is my easiest option"

        • +2

          I understand

        • +1

          Yeaah suuurre buddy! Karaage huh?

  • +1

Main thing in the terms/notes should be the eligibility of pick up orders

    • Deliver the cheapest item to the house next door

  • Awesome.

  • +1

Does anyone know from experience if the restaurant's "Spend $20 / Save $5" which is auto applied at checkout is valid for cashback? The discount is not applied via a coupon and doesn't seem removable…

    • +3

From experience I know BOGOF and Free item (Spend $X) don't affect cashback, so should be the same?

  • Guess i m getting some dipping sauce from red rooster for 0.50

  • +2

Much better than Shopbacks $3 'upsize' lol

  • +2

What is the logic in limiting it to desktop only ?

    • Afaik this has always been CRs terms

  • Cries in NZ

  • Last time, it worked for me. Tracked in 2 days and approved in 2 weeks.

  • What happens if order get cancelled by restaurant? Do you still get bonus cashback.

  • FYI in the past using free shared delivery has not affected tracking and cashback.

However note that past performance is not indicative of future performance.

  • -1

It says no minimum spend so my question is does the menu option of napkins priced at $0.00 really valid for purchasing with this deal?

    • +1

Commenting as I also crave this knowledge

  • This is perfect timing for me, thanks so much for posting and CR!

  • +1

Do ANZ Max customers get $13 USD back like last time?

    • +3

Not this time, $10 USD for everyone.

  • +2

Can you schedule order and still get 10USD? For example, I want to schedule pick up for Saturday.

  • +1

i guess no one dared to try 'Destktop site' mode on mobile before? mobile browser exclusion x(

Hi guys. I hope this comment isn’t misconstrued in any way, but I need to make it to help protect the integrity of these promos. Whilst I understand the excitement at making the smallest purchase possible to take advantage of the offer, it does nothing to excite Uber Eats (and CR) in providing these going forward. I truly hope you consider this when ordering, because (1) we want these offers to continue for a long time, and (2) having this promo on a regular basis is better than not having it at all. Enjoy dinner tonight, and thank you :)

    • +1

What is the minimum purchase that cashback or uber profits from

      • Uber Eats at least in the US loses $3-$3.50 on every order, so I don't think there is any realistic sweet spot.

        • I find it very surprising, with the commissions they charge I'd think they're miles ahead in profits?

          • @Craze: Service fees were introduced as a way of trying to make it profitable, and just recently they've recorded their first profit ($25m, from $5.8b revenue).

$25m might sound like a lot but for the revenue they did it's not much (0.04% of revenue).

            • +1

@decc0: No matter what the percentage against the overhead (0.04% in this case), 25M is still 25M after deducting all expenses. So they have now turned a profit of 25M, which is great.

        • How much spent on huge executive salaries and how much diverted to tax havens though.

    • Well said.

    • Hi TA,
By saying "eligible on pre-orders", is that,
      A. Order 2pm today and pick up at 7pm today, or
      B. Order 7pm today and pick up 1pm tomorrow?
Sorry I don't use Uber a lot, just want to make sure. Thanks.

      • +2

Hi. You must click and order between 6pm and 11pm. Any clicks or orders outside these times will be ineligible. Hope this helps. Thanks.

        • +6

Hi TA, just to confirm - if I place an order at 7pm that's scheduled for next Friday, is this eligible?

    • Hi TA,
Would incognito on chrome interfere with cashback?
Sorry first time using cashrewards on browser

      • Hi there. No reason to go incognito unless you have 3rd party plugins happening. Best to use a clean browser like Edge and ensure there are no plugins installed. Cheers :)

        • thanks!

          • @ozbargainer2020: No worries. The trick is to click Shop Now, then complete your order without clicking away to other stores or opening other tabs. Just click, and order and everything should work. Thank you.

    • +1

I gave your comment a + but surely the easiest way to prevent this is making the minimum order $10?

  • Is Uber Cash eligible for this? Thanks!

    • +1

"Cashback is eligible on orders paid with Uber Wallet."

    • +1

Cashback is eligible on orders paid with Uber Wallet.

  • -2

can I order today and pick up tomorrow?

  • Hi @tightarse, when I logged in to cashrewards and go to https://www.cashrewards.com.au/uber-eats, there is no mention on the 6pm -11pm. Wonder is this a hidden offer? However, there is an expiry on a coupon listed.

    Just confused :(

    • Please ignore all info on the page currently, at 6PM it will update see screenshot :)

    • it currently says US$13 as well, not $AU

  • is incognito recommended for cashrewards tracking?

    • -8

      Using the app is best

      • +1

Using the app will net you nothing, according to the terms stated above.

        • +8

          how do i neg myself?

        • Yep, counterintuitive in today's world, but you must not use the app for CR tracking.

I've had no issues with UE orders (including pre orders) track so far so looking forward to the excellent increased cashback. Thanks OP!

      • "Your order must be made on a desktop browser. Cashback is ineligible on orders via mobile browsers, the Cashrewards app, or the Uber Eats app."

Definitely don't use the app if you want your cashback to track.

  • Wow I haven't used UE in a while but for subway 1km away it's $5.50 delivery + $1.55 service fee.

I assume they are slowly increasing the delivery fee to get people onto Uber Pass.

  • -1

I have a question so if i pay 20 AUD of ubereats does that count for the cashback, or do i have to spend under 13.50 AUD ?

    • +1

Can spend any amount and you will receive $10 USD regardless, no min or max spend :)

  • Does use of Uber Eats gift cards make this deal eligible or is this Uber Wallet?

    • +1

I believe you can add Uber Eats gift cards into your uber eats wallet, which can then be used for your order and thus make it eligible for cashback

      • Thanks mate, it worked. The irony - won a mystery GC from SB which turned out to be Uber Eats.

  • New Ubereats customer U$13.
    Return Ubereats customer U$3

    • not 6pm yet

    • +1

      From the post above:

Please ignore the current notice on site regarding new / existing customers, this promotion is for all Uber Eats customers, regardless of status.

  • Damn, unable to access desktop, only iPad :-(

    • +1

Use your browser in desktop mode

      • Thanks for the reply, I will give it a go

  • +1

So scheduling the order for tomorrow works as long we order and click between 6 and 11pm tonight. Cakes done!

    • +1

And you need to ensure the order is finalised (marked as picked up or delivered) :)
