Since finishing this and Part 1, I haven't been able to find another game that I enjoy enough to turn on my PS4. Any suggestions? Red Dead Demption 2 was initially interesting, but it's too long and convoluted, not enough pure action.

100% agree…Last of us is a fantastic franchise…just plying the last chapter…can recommend Uncharted (if you haven't played them already). Enjoyed all of them.
I had similar issues - playing horizon and ghost of tushima after just seemed like a slog. Unfortunately nothing comes close to what LoU achieves. Red Dead is easy to get sidetracked and ruin the pace - once that happens I recommend taking advantage of the fast travel and getting through the story. The other suggestions here of GoW and Unchartered 4 are both solid. Bloodborne was the one that got me back though - Didn't have much interest in it at and I was close to quitting at the start but once it had me hooked I couldn't put it down until I had the platinum trophy.

The Dark Souls series is brilliant if you haven't climbed that particular mountain. I'm in the final stretch on part 1 at the moment, a 2018 remaster of a 2011 game and the world design and gameplay is incredible even by today's standards.
Does this upgrade to ps5 version for free?
Patch is free, but it is mostly to unlock the frame-rate to allow 60fps. It is unclear about Naughty Dog's intention on the upcoming multiplayer mode for this game. Will ND release a new version for PS5 as part of that (and offer kinda like an expansion pack for PS4) or completely free (doubtful to be honest)?
Given Naughty Dog released a remastered version of Uncharted 4 for PS5, my guess is ND probably do the same for The Last of Us Part 2.
