So I called up BCF and explained. As my order hasn’t been picked up yet, they will attempt switch out the shoes to right sizebefore sending out.

i ordered 11.5, came as 11.5 US (EU 46) I'm a nike jogger size US12 and slightly wider than normal, they fit like a dream surprisingly.
I got some hiking boots from an Aldi sale 2 / 3 years ago. How would those compare to these?
Massive difference. These are far better quality shoes and engineered accordingly for comfort, terrain, waterproofing but yes hence the price. I have switched from aldi/rivers/target hiking boots to Merrell and I can tell the difference and comfort I feel while doing hiking. We have a hiking group and we go to various parks and trails within Victoria. Most of my friends started with low brands initially but they all now appreciate Merrell/Saloman and columbia brands. So do go for better brands there is a difference.

I ordered a pair of UK 9.5 and received US 9.5 so the staff in the warehouse cannot match the AU/UK sizing on the website where they specifically say UK size is used to the UK number on the box (which has all sizes listed but the US number is much larger so I see how they screwed it up)… need to refund now as out of stock

I am in the same boat. I needed to refund after driving 30 mins for a C&C to get my shoes in time for a trip… size “au/uk8” is actually a us 8. So dumb. The website sizing needs an update, bcf are gonna get a looooot of refunds/returns.

I was actually expecting AU/UK size, got US size (does fit, but probably not ideal for long hikes).
No refund or update about second pair though..

Instead of getting rid of their stock, they just created an additional headache for themselves … and then still need to get rid of the stock later on

I would argue it's BCF's mistake - or say you're happy to swap with the new model of the correct size.

I ordered Boot size 8.5 and T-shirt size L, I received 8.5 US boot and 3XL T-shirt. Shoe size should be in UK/AU as per size chart where UK/AU size are shown in bold font.
Like many others I ordered based upon the information it was UK sizing, but now the website has been updated, the size guide for men's shoes says:
"Note: Website sizing reflects US Sizing"
I suspect that many other people (as per posts above) had the same problem.
Why haven't they just put right along side the big blue, "select size" button "the sizes shown are US, see Size Chart for AU equivalent" and in bold red font.
Cos unless you click the Size Chart link beforehand you could still think the size you're choosing is an AU size.
Update from Jindalee store ( Brisbane)
went to pick up my shoes around 11:30am today.
They had 1 pair each for women low cut size 11 and 9, mid cut size 7.5 and 10 in store
If interested best ring store to confirm first.
By the way, also confirmed with store staff, Columbia is using US size.
That's all fine, the issue was that the size chart on BCF had the UK/AUS in bold and highlighted..
Due to the sizing issue I have a USA 9.5 / UK 8.5 / EUR 42.5 / CM 27.5 low cut hiking boot that is too small for me. They look like great shoes, so if anyone has a USA 10 or 10.5 low cut that doesn't fit them, I'd be interested. Ideally I would like to swap, but I think it's unlikely anyone ended up with shoes that were too big for them with that sizing chart!
Edit: Also, if anyone wants this size please let me know, because I'll likely be returning these tomorrow.

After 45min on hold finally reached somebody. Have to say the lady was very nice and understanding.
Issued a refund for $50 - if I get the full $50, I might keep the first pair for $38 (although it's a bit smaller and probably not good for me to go hiking).

No, but the new price chart is the same AU sizing in bold, but with a comment at the bottom that it's US sizing.
I feel this is still confusing: don't use bold, or use bold for the actual size that's being used.
Btw: the only argument you can make is you got the wrong size. They will then tell you they don't have any other size, and you can return for refund (or ship back via auspost for refund).
True. On the day I ordered the chart had a note at the bottom saying "Note: Mens AU sizing is based off UK sizing"
Returned mine (wrong size due to the crappy website guide) 13th April. Still no refund. Looks like we’ll have to go the PayPal route to force this
