This is an excellent tool for cutting tree branches. Easily cuts branches as thick as your arm, can cut branches almost as thick as your thigh by using two cuts and a bit of skill (cut under the branch for the first cut, cut the top of the branch on the second cut. Cuts don't have to align exactly, but it helps).

It doesn't show in the Amazon pictures, but both of the chainsaw "jaws" (metal covers) move. The bottom one moves when you pull the handles apart, it's like a pair of scissors. The top jaw is spring-loaded.

This has a standard mains plug, you'll need a suitable-length mains extension cord to use this in your yard. The cord attached to the lopper is only about 30cm long. Power consumption is 550W, so a standard heavy-duty (10A) extension cord is fine. I've used two 25m-long extension cords in the past, connected together, when using this lopper.

Consumables: this does consume chainsaw oil. I've heard of people using cooking oil on smaller chainsaws, if you've done this, please report on the pros and cons of using cooking oil.

I found the product manual online, here: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1017910/Black-And-Decker-A…

    Ozito pole pruner bro.

    • All the annoying branches at my place are at low level, so a pole pruner would be awkward to use.

This is also much faster to use than a pole pruner, as you can squeeze the jaws while cutting.

Also, it's much easier to chop up the branches after you've cut them off the tree, cutting them into rubbish-bin size chunks.

        That's right.
I have one but don't use very often but when I do they are fantastic and so easy to use than a normal chain saw.

as you can squeeze the jaws while cutting.

I meant to say "you can squeeze the handles together, applying pressure to the jaws".

        Squeezing the jaws sounds dangerous!

Less intimidating than a chainsaw, eats through branches in lighting speed, only problem I faced is that the oiling /lube injection mechanism is not good great, hard to inject the oil with bottle provided, end up buying a syringe.

  • I use one of these, albeit for smaller branches. absolutely brilliant and easy to use:

I have one and can confirm it is amazingly good.

  • Alligator powered
