What Subwoofer to Add to Hisense H8 55" TV with Built-in Soundbar?

Hi,

I have the Hisense H8 55" TV and it comes with a decent sounding, front-facing soundbar integrated into the TV body. But as with most soundbars, low frequencies aren't their strong suit, so please recommend me a Subwoofer that i can add to this setup.

I think I'd need a powered Subwoofers with either wireless (e.g. bluetooth) or wired (optical) inputs. I am not keen on adding a second 2+1 soundbar or using a separate stereo amplifier with subwoofer out.

Any ideas?

    Does it actually have a seperate Bass output? If not I don't think any bass will work.

    You won't find any BT/wireless bass module unless Hisence have one specifically for that TV (they normally just work with brands - Sonos bass with Sonos bar, Bose with Bose etc). Optical output would just output the whole sound range (ie 5.1) rather than just the bass.

      Most powered subwoofer have a low-pass crossover, often adjustable. So far i've only seen them with mono analogue input, not with digital optical.

      It is a shame Hisense didnt design their TV sound outputs better
