I traded my Samsung S20 mobile with my new Samsung S22 mobile on 22-Feb. Asurion has not yet released my $310 holding fee, and they responded that they would release the holding fee, and it would take 7 business days to reflect in my bank account. However, I haven't received my money back even after 10 business days. I have contacted them a few times, but no response. What can I do further? Can I complain to AFCA or ACCC? Please suggest.

What holding? The other thread was about claiming didnt received the phone
What holding fee? Isn't just a preauthorisation?
See the below email. Asurion itself mentioned it is a holding fee.

The holding fee will be credited back in your bank account. Please check your bank statement for the transaction from Samsung Trade in. This may take up to 7 business days.

yeah it isnt a holding fee, it's a preauth.
I also traded in an S21 for an s22
Refer to the email I posted above. Pre auth or Holding fee, Asurion can say whatever they want but my money is locked.
My emails:
When my s22 was delivered:
A hold has been placed against the funds on your nominated Payment Card to the value of your Original device Trade-Up value (as set out below). This amount will not be released until we complete a final assessment of your device.
When my S21 got back to them:
We’ve received your device back at our warehouse for Trade ID. It will now be assessed to check it’s condition.
What happens next:
1 - If your device meets the expected condition, then your Samsung Trade-Up is complete (you will not receive an email to confirm this)
2 - If your device does not meet the expected condition, we will contact you for next steps
If you have been charged a late return fee a refund will be organised for you.
Well, the same emails I also got it. The above email responded to my question regarding releasing my money.
Did they release your preauth money?
Well, funny story.
They released the $510 pre-auth.
But then they charged me a $570 device non-return fee ($510+ $60 admin fee) even though i returned it.
Had to message them and they refunded that a week later.
Good. At least you received the money.
All good! Asurion released the pre-authorisation fee. There is no pending transaction in my credit card account. Problem solved.
Should just be a mega thread pinned to the top for all the Samsung issues
