[QLD,NSW, Short Dated] Stone & Wood 500ml Pacific Ale Beer $3.50 @ Liquorland (SE Qld/Nth NSW)

150

Short dated/Clearance of the 500ml Stone & Wood Pacific Ale tallies. The one's where I was (Burleigh Barn) has Best Before 17 April.

Apparently they're clearing them out of the stores in Nth NSW/SE Qld (but maybe wider)

$9 -> $3.50 each.
A Carton of 24x 330ml (7.92lt) is $78
16 bottles is $56, so a decent savings.

Stone & Wood was great when it first came out but now I find it very watered down in my opinion. The taste has changed and that was before they sold out

      From another group I follow:

Hey mate, thanks for reaching out and taking the time to share this with us. Our beer's recipe, ingredients, and creation have always remained the same. We even have an in-house lab that tests all of our beer to ensure we get the same results and closely monitor quality. We have the same brew sheet and still use quality ingredients like we always have, and it's to scale. We get this feedback on the odd occasion… but the beer industry has changed incredibly over time; beers are hoppier and more alcoholic now with fruits and sour additions. Our palettes have gone on the journey and have evolved. When our Original Pacific Ale first came out, it was a new flavour to everyone's taste buds, back then, it was an utterly polarising style. Now we are exposed to many different types and flavours. Our core range is brewed to be sessionable. To get the most out of the fruity flavours and colour, be sure to rouse the beer, watch this video on how to https://stoneandwood.com.au/how-to-pour-the-original-pacific…
      Cheers 🍻

Yer I heard this too but still to me who has been drinking it since they first started and I have stopped drinking it now due to it tasting very watery

    • You get everyone repeating and parroting this..
      Me mate Dave reckons…. :p.

Ps Can't see it on the website.

  • Showing as $29 for 12 in SA but I can't find stock anywhere.

Got some from First Choice Ingle Farm: $2 for 500ml.

Not a fan. Overrated swill. I dont get why ppl like this.

    • Ok, bought a second lot not long after this, same price. Just drank it yesterday, tasted way better.

    • It's good stuff, especially when free I'd head straight to it over other stuff. Maybe the batches were close to expiry on here and naff.

Burleigh 28 pal ale is great, but everyone likes something different.

  • Beware!! Got a couple in regional Vic. Can see why its cheap. Tasted foxy as. Threw out before I could check expiry date. They shouldn't be selling this crap. I wonder if S & W knows, or they couldn't care less now they've sold out?

    • It was past expiry? Coles & Woolies won't sell past expiry. Even though it's usually on.

Funny S&W have a 6mth expiry date (I suspect that'll change), but most Aussie stuff is 9mths, euro beer tends to be 1yr.
