It was killing 3080ti's wasn't it?
i thought it was specific 3090's, with faulty mosfets or something.
Nothing to do with the cards being faulty, it was the game sending high end cards into melt down
afaik the beta was damaging EVGA 3090 cards
@ry34: The origin of the faulty 3090 mosfets was igors lab I believe. Here is a comprehensive analysis he did of the issue after other outlets disputed his findings.

The problem is people find an old video which reports the original findings and never sees the follow-up content which proved that it wasn't correct.
It was a fun game while it lasted. Steam peaked at 31k players today :(
It's hard to recommend NW with the current playercount. Having said that, it's a pretty good looking game and I still just enjoy running around crafting on my own.
Dead game
This game has nice graphics and some good ideas but that is about it. It has to be one of the most grindy games I have ever played and very painful to get around in game. The combat is also very clunky and the stagger mechanic just sucks. Also putting a key mechanic to do dungeons which can be very difficult to create takes away a lot from the fun.
All MMOs are grindy. Their isn't a single non-grindy MMO out there.
Yes and no - there is grindy and then there is GRINDY - New World is GRINDY, in comparisson to Lost Ark which has a bit of grind if you want to max out end level, but it has so much more content and the grind is enjoyable and relatively easy.
Guild War 2 has only small grind and it is a good pvp game.
Guild Wars 2 is awesome and very little grind. New World takes the grind to a whole new level of pain.
It was a good game with potential, but after a range of economy related glitches, launch problems and the forced end game grind the player base dried up and the game is now effectively dead. Will a 40% discount give it a boost, possibly a littel in the short term, but gut feel is it wont last much beyond the free weekend.
Wouldn't bother with this one. Got it from launch and there was a good community that quickly formed. But as others have said it wasn't long before constant issues, changes and design choices made it not fun.
Game died within a month
I got the game for free because I pre-ordered it on amazon when it was going got be free 2 play, and I feel cheat how bad this game is.
Excited for the free weekend.
I'm not sure if I'm ready to let go of my 3080 yet, only had it for one week.
