These self inflating products are essentially open celled foam within an airtight canvas. When you unroll it and open the air vent, the air will rush in and the foam will expand. Packing it up involves pushing out all that air inside.

Im not sure what you're getting at.
These arent the same as inflatable air mattresses. Those are empty inside, and support is from air and any structures inside.
For these self inflating mattresses, the support comes mainly from the foam.
I really want to bite on this deal and buy 2 but I need them both by Thursday next week…
