Good Desk Chair?

Hi,

I'm currently searching for a new Desk chair, I've sat in the offerings at Ikea and wasn't particularly impressed, and my current one is from Officeworks and pretty garbage. I'm looking for something affordable ($500 and below), comfortable, supportive of good posture and durable. I've sat in a gaming chair, found it ok but have seen them almost universally criticized here for poor quality and excessively high prices for what they offer. Any solid recommendations that anyone can make?

    Did you specifically try the Ikea Markus? It's amazing for what it is. Admittedly all their other office chair offerings are fairly average to poor.

      Yeah I went to IKEA last night and tried it. Maybe my stint with it was too brief but it didn't particularly stike me as that great, I did however see how it is encouraging of good posture. What do you particularly like about it?

        It's comfy over long periods. Very adjustable despite not being a "certified" office chair. Promotes excellent posture. It's also very durable. I've had 2x for many years and the seat foam still seems like new.

          Another vote for me, I have had two since 2014 and they have lasted very well with high usage.

          I don't find many chairs comfortable but these are great.

    I've been happy with the Blitzwolf I got last time it was on special:

    Only negative feedbacks:
    -I don't like the headrest as it seemed to push my head forward, so I've left it off
    -Seat (base) is cushioned and comfortable. but can get a little hot and sweaty on your butt after prolonged periods when compared to a mesh seat

    Any office chair around $400 should be good enough.
    That's what I ordered for myself at work and it's very comfy.
    Mine has arm rests and a mesh back so it's very cool to sit in for long periods of time.
    It also swivels all over the place.
    Boss wouldn't let me get a leather recliner like execs would get. Ha.
