Probably a EB Games trade in deal.
There was a deal right at launch where the Big W eBay store had it for $39 and I used an eBay Afterpay deal on top which gave an extra $10 off.
I don't think this game has ever been $29 for PS5 at retail unless you traded in two games and paid $29
It's currently free to play until April 13th if you want to try it before buying.
This game definitely has issues but I still find myself playing it daily or every other day for 30mins-1hr. It is a bit hectic at times though and my biggest qualms are to do with the ridiculous visibility, spawning points and ttk is really short.
If you have other games you havent played yet I'd skip this one.
Given that MW II is due in Nov remember that you will only get 6 months of updates for this game, oh and its a sledgehammer game.

For some reason game developers and movie makers like to release games/movies with the exact same titles when they are rebooting to cause confusion and challenge Google's algorithms.
There is CoD4: Modern Warfare released in 2007 and CoD: Modern Warfare released in 2019
Similarly there was a CoD: Modern Warfare 2 (they decided to ditch the numbering) released in 2009 and a sequel to the 2019 reboot called CoD: Modern Warfare II to be released in 2022.

Wouldn't really consider $48 to be a very good price for this game. Got it on PS5 for $29 around launch and feels like I only just got value out of that price.
