Amex travel bookings

Does anyone know a better way to contact AMEX travel bookings centre?

I have an issue with my booking but I can't reach them through the 1300- phone ("current wait time is greater than 90mins…" Everytime, even at 7am this morning), and their email is no longer monitored. The main AMEX 1800 number isn't helpful because they're seperate to the travel bookings department. Chat doesn't have a button to start chat, because no one is online.

Any ideas?

    Had same problem a few weeks ago. You just have to call and wait. The music will make you crazy but you just have to wait. Took me about 2-3 hours…..

  • You have to call and wait. My wife called them up yesterday to change a flight booking and her contact centre person literally said 'I don't know how to do this. I'll call you back within 48 hours.'

    I literally mailed a letter of complaint. 1980's style

  • There is no other way unless you have a platinum card. You can call in to the concierge and ask them to sort it for you, or transfer you to the front of the queue.

      Unfortunately, this is no longer true.

      Amex plat concierge has gotten worse over the years. I just spoke to them an hour ago on changing a flight booking and it took them 24 hours to do it when I should've been able to change it myself online in the first place.

      Basically, too many people have a plat card nowadays. Minimum earning threshold ($100k) is apparently too low now. We might finally cancel our plat charge card this year.

        It is true - I called about 3 weeks ago lol

        I spent almost a week on the phone to travel online for 2 hours holding then hanging up. Finally called concierge - still 30min wait, and they got me through. I might not have been super polite though. At that point, I was fuming

  • I've been having problems as well and I don't have a solution for you. My travel credit disappeared, I'm overseas and I have no way of resolving it.

    The online chat stopped showing up on both PC & apps.

    I've enrolled in the Priority Pass, and it's been over 2 months now, I still didn't receive anything yet.

    The travel booking site glitches every day.

  • Same here, 90 minute wait to get through. They sorted out my issue with no fanfare. They clearly need more "executives" on the phones.
