Hungry Jack's Vouchers / App Only: Small Whopper Junior with Cheese Meal $5 @ Hungry Jack's

640

New vouchers for Hungry Jack's

Looks like removal of the two Whopper Jrs and small chips and the addition of the 3 nuggets.

App offer is $5 for small Whopper Jnr w/Cheese meal

Posting more as an FYI - I haven't visited HJ in ages after the price hikes during 2020/21 and their prices aren't as attractive anymore without the shake and win offers complementing.

Looks like removal of the two Whopper Jrs and small chips

    That's the final straw….I'm out.

    • +5

yeah that was the only thing worth it on the last voucher.

App offer is $5 for small Whopper w/Cheese meal

      Happy Wife = Happy Life

    • ima fkin riot

  • +5

Final straw 2 - removed the coffee from morning meal 4.95 -> 4.25… NO HAPPY JAN,

I don't mind the coffee from HJ that have "barrister" and not the machine… making the coffee. (Central Station)

    • +3

Go to Coles for coffee can’t beat it for $1

      • 7 11 can probably beat it

        • +5

          Coles is better for coffee

          • @Stewardo: Coles $4 freeze dried, actually quality coffee!!

            • +3

@Fobsessive: I was talking about the $1 coles express coffee
It’s much better than the 7/11 offering
              https://www.coles.com.au/coles-express/whats-in-store/urban-…

              • @Stewardo: depends on your taste. they are not the same quality all the time.
Sometimes I get a coffee from 7 11 and it tastes great, sometimes rubbish. It really is a hit & miss.

              • +1

@Stewardo: That's because Coles Express is using a local roaster in Melbourne whereas 7/11 uses their own brand beans shipped in from overseas afaik.

                • @decc0: Fun fact, the same company roasts the coffee for both Coles Express and 711.

                  • @Realdee: Evidence/proof?

Even if that is true, must be two completely different grades. Machines aren't that different but taste is.

                    • @decc0: They don't advertise it, but I can tell you from Industry contacts that Mocopan is responsible for Urban Coffee Culture, 7-Eleven and McDonalds coffee. They use different equipment - Eversys (Urban Coffee Culture) is widely regarded as the gold standard for 'fully automatic' machines. Also you're right about the different grades - depending on how much margin they want they could specify their budget for the green.

        • 7/11 coffee lmao rather drink from a puddle

    • (Central Station)

This Hungry Jacks doesn't exist anymore :(

    • +1

You have lawyers making coffee at your local HJ?

  • +6

They are really stretching for 3 nuggets with $2.45.

Maccas hamburgers are only 2 bucks.

Oh well looks like i have to eat healthy food for a while.

    • Agree esp considering 10 nuggets are $5!

      • +1

And almost 30% of your daily calories. 3 nuggets is good for people who want to lose weight but like junk food. Or parents who don't want their kids to get fat.

    • +2

Maccas hamburgers are only 2 bucks.

HJ's BBQ Cheeseburger is the same price with about 50% more kJ (and can sometimes get them for $1 on Shake n Win)…

      Macca's Hamburger should be $1, they're tiny. Btw Macca's 3 nuggets are $4.20, lol.

    • hj's bbq cheese burger also 2 bucks

    Is phone ok?

    • +11

      Phone is fine.

    • +1

      Phone is fine.

      Phone is fine.

Last time the manager said no to free chips and drink with burger purchase (survey on receipt) because the receipt was for a burger with free chips and drink, and he said you cant keep using that (not the same receipt used twice but the fact the receipt was for burger and free chips) and i just walked out without getting anything. Didnt think he was right but, meh.

    • +1

Whatever you ordered should be irrelevant, the offer is a reward for the time you spend on the survey. Put in a complaint if you can be bothered.

    • not all receipts at HJ are for free chips and drink anymore …..seems they randomly issue ones for a survey and i those are for free chips and drink …… my last receipt want for free chips or drink …..unlike kfc where all receipts are for free chips and drink.

      • At KFC my 3y.o screenshot is for free chips and drink.

    • yeah, technically you need to buy a full price thing. Only one voucher thing per order.

SOOooo…. buy a frozen coke for $1, and then get free fries and drink with that - but do it as a separate order.

    • Well my receipt had the section for free chips and drink. And I did actually do the survey. So one would assume it would be accepted for it. It just seemed like he was making up the rules on the spot if it didnt specify on the receipt that the previous receipt had to be a full priced item ONLY. I decided it wasnt worth arguing over and just walked out. I thought the offer was for bothering to do the survey, not having bought something specific, thats all.

  • +1

Over $5 for a burger … with a coupon required.

  • +3

Haven't had HJs in a while. My body is thanking HJs for their 'deals'.

Not sure if I should upvote the deal for keeping me healthy with such 'great' deals.

  • +9

I feel like these get worse and worse every next issue

    • They are!

  • My phone is fine (old Ozbargain deal) but the vouchers are not fine

  • +1

HJ s it's all over these aren't vouchers these are Ouchers it gets worse and more expensive every issue , heading to KFC .

  • +3

Priced themselves out. Can get 2 small Big Mac meals for $8 on Macas ap. $6 traditional pizza + $2 garlic bread on domo occasional event etc. otherwise my own cooking tastes better and half the price..

    • Where u get big mac deal? Or is that targeted

      • In the app. Changes every few days. varies between the meal deals or 2x burger for $6.

      • Macas ap cycles through deals every 3 days. Create a few ghost accounts and you can get $8 2 small Big Mac meal at least twice a week, if you can stomach it that often…other one is the cheeseburger meal + cheeseburger for $4

  • +5

Oh man the 2 X WJ and Chips was the greatest deal of all! I remember it being $4.95 only about 2 years ago or so.

    • Yep and it was only about ~ years ago. Such an easy meal, add on a free shake and win drink or a $1 frozen drink and you were golden.

    • Got it Saturday night for the last time from the CBD HJ. It was bittersweet

    • +2

Inflation. Only our salaries don't go up.

    • I lived on those for years, until the price hikes turning me to competitors who unfortunately taste worse than HJ but just not worth the price anymore. Can’t justify $7 whopper small meal vs 2 small Big Mac meal for $8..

  • +6

Honestly you can't even call this a deal anymore. Haven't been able to for years. Such a shame too.

  • +2

My sentiments same as everyone else here - voichers worse and worse

Shame because I prefer HJs>>Maccas but Maccas has better deals on the app if you just wait a while

  • +4

    Bah humbug,my lunch is ruined!

They also removed my 2x bacon deluxe deal so I dont have a reason to go now.

  • -1

Are all these on their app or only on these printed sheets?

  • back in n years ago, breakfast voucher brekky warp + harsh brown + small coffee is only $3

    • This was my weekend ritual. Until $4.95 with no coffee… and an employee once not letting me swap to sausage muffins..

    • +1

Ahh yes, the brekky warp on the starship enterprise. Or am I being to harsh, Brown?

  • Throwback to free Bacon Deluxe on Shake N Win around 2013-14

  • +4

sadge, no one talking about the medium onion rings going to $3, up from $2 :(

    • +1

Yep, back to $3.80 where I live. I always grabbed two $2.95 onion rings and have always looked forward to heading to HJs after work for onion rings. Sadly I’m gonna have to go healthy as well. And go without them.

The $2.45 three nugget thing it replaced our onion ring deal is a joke. We lose our 8 onion rings for that… When you can get a 20+ piece tempura frozen nugget box at any supermarket for a few more dollars.

And I don’t think it even comes with dipping sauce as from the voucher photo which is another $0.50 bringing it to $2.95 with one dipping sauce

  • at least they still have chicken royale small meal for $4.95…… hopefully it stays forever…..

    • +2

Chicken royale + survey chips and drink = $3?

  • +2

Two Whoppers was around $7-8 - now $12.45! How much is just one whopper these days, farkk.

    • +1

This is for 2 whoppers with cheese. I grabbed 2 whoppers on a voucher for $9.95 last month.
But this catalogue is the true inflation index…so who knows.

      • i have the old vouchers here, it was $9.95 for 2 without cheese, they charge 80 cents extra per burger for cheese, so that makes the correct price rise for 2x whoppers with cheese 90 cents total

  • Meanwhile the Mcdonalds app is giving me 2 small big mac meals for $8

  • +1

For those in Adelaide 2 whoppers for $8.95 at Dry Creek.

  • +1

Hard to believe this is even the same company who gave us Stunner meals.

Whopper Jr/Chicken Royale, Small Fries, Small Coke, Small Sundae/Drumstick for $4.95 or later with 3 nuggets for $5.95.

    • +2

beef prices are high as you can tell just going to the butcher , so price hike comes as no surprise ….chicken is now the cheap meat but if i want chicken i go kfc …. don’t find the chicken burgers at maccas or HJ tasty.

      • chicken is now the cheap meat

Chicken always was the cheap meat. With these higher beef prices, they are still able to offer a $2 cheeseburger (which is the only thing of the stunner meal that actually needs beef). They're just now getting greedy with their prices is all.

  • -2

So do we just print these out and use them or is having the image on the phone enough?

    • Damn. 2 negs already cos I don't normally eat at HJs and so don't ever use their vouchers but I know someone who does and wanted to share with decent instructions rather than lead them up the garden path.

      Useful. facepalm

      • Umm I didn't neg you but the answer is already here and probably a few other comments. It's the third time in this thread it's been asked. Every HJ deal has at least 3 people saying "phone is fine" as a running joke..

        • +1

Damn. If someone asked me what I recall of this deal it's people complaining about items being removed and prices not being as good.

Totally missed the useful (to me) bits. :/ Thanks for clarifying.

      • Don't take it too personally, it's a running joke.

    • +3

When I go through the drive through I just say "I have a voucher for (insert thing here) for (insert voucher price) and they just do it.

The only time they need to see my phone is for shake and win vouchers.

  • No more 2 jnr whopper and chips ..lost me now .. last real deal

  • +1

totally priced out of it, and done imho. 2 whopper cheese for near $13 is a joke as the whoppers have considerably shrunk in size. These used to be 2 whoppers for around $7-8 3 years ago! they've upped the price by over 50% in 3 years.

i dont know who is buying at HJ's anymore.
