Warning: the green tea Kit Kat is probably made in Malaysia (or somewhere else in SE Asia),
which tastes substantially different from the REAL Japanese one.
    https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B0764BRBJL/

90% of "Japanese food" you find in Coles/WW is not made in Japan.
e.g. Kikkoman Soy Sauce is made in Singapore, Nissin Ramen Kyushu Black Noodle is made in Indonesia

For real Jap taste, should go to your local Japanese grocery store instead
Daiso is another choice but need to check carefully, sometimes different batches come from different countries due to COVID related shipping cost rise

I was about to comment this. These kit kats are made in Malaysia and they aren't good. I wouldn't buy them even at 50% off.

        Exactly.
I wish we have Donki here, but Australia isn't really an investors friendly country. Much higher tax and labour cost than our neighbours.😔

Nothing beats the Itohkyuemon Uji Matcha version (reference only: https://www.amazon.com.au/SOUVENIR-Itohkyuemon-Japanese-choc…) i would just buy those from the KitKat Chocolatory store, although more expensive and smaller, if I'm really craving for them.

      These my'n-made would disappoint…

    • THIS!
We had a friend come visit from Japan and she brought a few Kit Kat packs with her for us. So different.

      Don't bother with these.

  • They tast like fish food…

    • And you've tasted fish food before?

        I have. Tastes like katsuobushi.

  • At one point, had work colleagues bringing it back for the office from Japan almost every month…people stopped bothering to try it. There's other kitkats fr Japan that tastes better then this.

  • im torn

  • After now tasting infamous malaysian coles stocked brand with half price; I would give an 8/10 mainly because it says what it is on the packet (green tea). It literally tastes like green tea and has the umami profile to back that up. Nevertheless this should not be confused with matcha green tea which does seem to have a different taste and seemingly more umami. Altogether I don't hate this deal and would probably buy again but I wouldn't be paying much more for it.
