$10 dearer than last deal, https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/648676 but still a reasonable price. Two layers of pick and pluck foam, plus solid foam in the bottom and egg carton foam in the lid.

After owning one for a year, I can see why ppl buy pelican cases.
Pros:
-Cheap
-telescopoc handle
-lockableCons:
-heavy
-metal lock covers are incredibly flimsy
-did I mention heavyCan this be used for photography equipment? Price looks good cheap and size is huge
Yes they are perfect for any delicate expensive items.
I have four of the rifle cases and they can take a beating.
When you have plucked out the foam to suit the shape of your equipment spray the remaining foam with a small amount spray on glue, to stop it coming apart and you're golden. You could go one step further and spray glue all over the exposed foam, and apply thin soft material like velvet or spandex to give a single connected liner surface that still compresses. Better than having the odd cubes of foam fall out as you use it. Or go nuts and flock it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVQ53d8Z8SQ
Could I get some more info on the whole spray glue side of things?
Any idea how heavy is this case? The website didn't specify.
I have Vanguard Supreme 53f case & it's ultra heavy as f.
I wonder if this case is slightly lighter.
9.5kg apparently: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/10987629/redir
Only 1kg lighter than my Vanguard Supreme 53f :(
Yes it’s a heavy beast but does the job. Pelican obviously has a better build quality but in terms of value this is better imo. I’ve had no issues with it besides the lock cover being a bit off (should have checked before buying) but it’s just a cosmetic issue.
also good for travelling if you're going to a place where you're worried they might tamper with luggage that has zips.
two lock holes so you can chuck on your heftiest un-pickable* padlock
(* for mere mortals who aren't Bosnian Bill or LPL* ;)
