    As I used to be a sales rep in multiple industries, if the product can be negotiated, mostly the power lies with the rep and the manager, the customer technically has no negotiation skills apart from being annoying if they keep asking.

    The best time to ask for a lower price is the last week of the month as reps and the store needs to hit their targets and usually do whatever it takes to get every little bit of a sale they can get.

    Other factors such as a store, rep, manager, and product, all contribute if a lower price can be achieved. Sometimes the brand can yield a higher discount because the brand has an agreement with the store to give more of a discount. For example, when I worked in an electronics section, Samsung had an agreement that reps can offer 5% more of a discount than other brands as there was an internal promo going on.

      I got the sleep republic one. But even hybrid type is not for everyone so ymmv

      Do you have amex ? Fairly frequently HN/domayne have cashback you can stack on top of negotiated prices.
