Extrusion/housing/channel for Philips Hue Lightstrips?

Guys, I'm currently planning a project to build a Stairlights using Philips Hue lightstrips and have found it pretty difficult to figure out what kind of housing is suitable and where to buy them.

Combining the rises and runs for all my stairs the approximate led length is 9m, I am using Philips Hue Lightstrips V4 which is visually quite a bit wider than the other nonbranded led strips. I have tried Bunnings the aluminum section and electrical section and I don't think they sell the housing at all.

There are a few online places that sells the housing with different sizes but I can't figure out which one is best and I guess it's better to see them before buying to make sure they will fit the space.

Any of you have done similar thing in the past and can share your experience? Thank you in advance.

Slimmest I can find from 2 sec look.
Will look dotty even diffused but.

Check with your local electrical wholesaler. Many carry a havit suitcase of sample pieces.

    • Yeah you are right, may have to resolve the old fashion way by going to a shop 😀

  • +1

I used 2x 3m extrusions from VOLK LIGHTING worked perfectly as a splash back led

    SKU was
    VL-PA09-S-3m

    That was 2 years ago.

    Check https://ledstore.volkalighting.com.au/led-mounting-profiles/

And measure your strip to make sure the profile is wide enough.

The SKU I mentioned above fit the Philips Hue strip perfectly. Just also order the mounting clips as they don’t come by default (back then)

    • Thanks for sharing, I might give the shop that you have linked a call.
