For locals that maybe aware K-mart Armidale is moving locations & therefore they have been doing line clearance over the last few weeks. I was saw these decent quality cotton shirts for $1 (on the end of the aisle in men's ware and surrounding). There is a decent amount in stock and at $1, it would be hard to beat.
Still shows $4 (from $8) on their website but these are $1.00 in-store so this appears not to be national.

Entirely possible they are selling it at a loss as holding the stock is likely going to cost them more in transporting them elsewhere.
It can't. However the actual cost to transport these shirts to their new location is probably more than the shirts are even worth. Selling at $1 isn't offsetting the sunk costs (already incurred bringing it here).
Think of it like moving house, are you going to bring every single possession or only those worth the cost of moving?
Oops, beaten 😂
Just wondering….
- The deal says VIC
- Armidale is in NSW, Armadale is in VIC & WA.
- Is there a KMart in Armadale VIC?
- Google Search didn't return anything for VIC.
- Search on Kmart Website doesn't return anything for Armadale VIC either.
Can the OP/someone else share the address of the store?
Kmart Armidale NSW from receipt.
Gave it a shot at my local Kmart, they were mostly normal price $8 except a few for $4. Wish it was that price at my local.
Australian grown cotton, made by cheap labour in Bangladesh, China or somewhere. How can an entire tshirt be grown, processed into cotton sheets, then cut and sewed, and finally transported across seas to be sold for $1 in a bricks and mortar shop?
