    Finally!!!

    • +2

Haha yea Twisty, finally dude - we've been waiting for it

  • Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa!

    • +9

This is not true at all. Uncharted 4 is only "free" if you have an active ps plus subscription and you cannot upgrade it to the PS5 edition to access the remastered features, nor is The Lost Legacy "free".

  • +6

I paid my $15 upgrade and got a free movie ticket to boot… Wasn't bad, light entertainment for the price :)

Uncharted series is a great game if you like that genre.

    • I booked the movie and missed going to it, felt so bad :s

    • Do you get a free movie ticket when you upgrade?

    • +1

??? ticket with upgrade??? how did i miss that?

      • Should check OZB more often.

  • how do you do the $15 upgrade?

    • You have to own a physical copy of either Uncharted 4 or The Lost Legacy on PS4 and you can upgrade your version on the PS5 psn store.

      • +3

You can do the upgrade on a digital purchase also I thought?

        • +1

That is correct, you can also upgrade digital versions. Only the ps plus version cannot be upgraded.

  • +3

Loved uncharted 4, played 1-4 within the same 6 month period. Nearly shed a tear at the end haha. The lost legacy was a bit meh though, would of been an awesome DLC but standard alone game was a bit of a stretch

    • +6

      “Nearly” - liar ;-)

    • +4

Really enjoyed The Lost Legacy. It gets shat on a little. I love the Uncharted series for the technical side of things and the story telling.

Having said that I don't have an attachment to the main cast, I think that allowed me to enjoy The Lost Legacy better than some others.

      • I hated Lost Legacy it was a tomb radier rip off.

        • +1

Did a better job than Tomb Raider

      • Who hates lost legacy? It’s one of the best uncharted games lol.

        • I remember when it released I saw a lot of reactionaries carrying on about her gender. Hopefully a lot of that stuff has calmed down

  • great

  • -6

I am playing it these days as my first PS5 game lol tried returnal, it sucked. It's a great game. But it feels like a movie that you have watched before.

    • +1

Uncharted is very cliche and derivative. But still manages to entertain you story wise. Gameplay is fun and balanced. The art and design very impressive.

    • +2

When you say returnal sucked what you really mean is you suck at the game lol

  • has this been updated for PS5? or is it just the PS4 versions re-released?

    • +1

Yes it has been updated or "remastered":

      Three Graphic Modes
Fidelity - 4k but locked to 30 fps.
      Performance - 60 fps.
      Performance - 120 fps* at 1080p resolution. *Requires a compatible 120hz display

      Other Features
Near instant loading, Spatial 3D Audio* and haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.

      • so all 5 uncharted games or just uncharted 4 and lost legacy? you do know Uncharted 1 2 and 3 were already remastered. so did you they remaster the remaster?

        • This collection includes 4 and TLL, if you look at the cover of Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection it says Remastered in blue and white. Also, yes I know the Uncharted trilogy were remastered for ps4.

          • -1

@BakerBen91: I dont' have the game so I can't really look at the cover.

            • @kungfuman: Basically:

              • If you had PS4 version (Uncharted 4 or Lost Legacy), the $15 upgrade is the best choice. Sony did sweeten the deal with the movie voucher (but that's finished now).
              • Uncharted, the Nathan Drake Collection (Uncharted 1, 2, 3) remastered, that was given out free to PS4 owners a while back.
              • Uncharted 4 (PS4 edition) is on PS Plus Collection, that version is NOT eligible for the $15 upgrade.
              • If you never played Uncharted 4 & Lost Legacy and have a PS5, you need to decide whether the free one is PS Plus Collection is good enough or the quality of life improvement (fast loading, 60fps) and Lost Legacy are enough to have you pay $38.
              • @netsurfer: so for people with phsycial verisons is that included in teh 15 dollar upgrade? of do use physcial version owners have to re buy this new ps5 game in phsycial form?

        • +1

Sony intends to release Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection (Uncharted 4 + Lost Legacy) on PC. As part of that, they had to do some cleanup (i.e. prepare 4K assets). To avoid making the PS5 experience being just PS4 version with frame rate unlocked (so 2K/60fps), they also added 4K/30fps, fast loading (quality of life improvement) and adaptive trigger support (and some audio improvement). Network play is removed in the PS5 remastered version though.

The cheapest path was/is the $15 upgrade, which is great if you owned the digital version. However, at the date of the introduction of that offer, Sony pulled / removed the cheap Uncharted 4 PS4 digital edition purchase option and replaced with Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection PS4. Disc version also gets the upgrade, but you still need to insert the disc.

          • @netsurfer: I have the physical version of uncharted on PS3 and the individual remastered versions on PS4, as well as teh special edition of the uncharted 4 physcial. so does it still let me do an upgrade of it with the physcial discs? to ps5?

            • @kungfuman: You should opt for the $15 upgrade path (for Uncharted 4), you will need the PS4 disc. You will gain Lost Legacy in the process. The quality of life improvements (fast loading and 60fps) are worth it, especially if you already played UC4 (so you can revisit certain chapters much quicker).

The only reason to avoid buying the upgrade (and also avoid buying this PS5 physical version) is that you intend to get the digital version later. The $15 upgrade will bind you to physical disc upgrade path, so inserting the disc will be required.

If you missed out on the free Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection (digital version) giveaway, then there is not much you can do now. Uncharted 1, 2, 3 will require remake, as the source materials are not ideal for the second remaster.

              • @netsurfer: I haven't yet played uncharted 4 or opend it lol but I have played the other ones so this will be the first time I play it. So for me I won't notice the improvements.

              • @netsurfer: I bought uncharted 1, 2 and 3 on physical discs back when the first remastered version came out on PS4. but I also did take advanage of teh free games they offered when I got my ps5 last year.

                • @kungfuman: Okay, so you have:

                  • Uncharted - Nathan Drake Collection (Uncharted 1, 2, 3 remastered) both digital version (free) and physical disc version. In that case, you would install the digital version (PS4 digital version). There is no PS5 version of this. Note: this has nothing to do with PS Plus Collection. The free giveaway was done BEFORE PS5 was released.
                  • Uncharted 4, if your physical disc version is still unopened, then you could try the PS Plus Collection version first, see if you like the game enough to warrant the PS5 upgrade. Thing is, if you then decided to upgrade, you will have to put the PS4 disc in, and that would trigger the disc version install (it's dumb the way Sony does things). Then, purchase the upgrade ($15).
                  • Or, after playing it, you like it so much, you might prefer to just get the PS5 disc version.
                  • @netsurfer: I am thinking of just buying the legacy ps5 phsycial game on amazon because I am a collector and like the phsyical games

  • $38 is a bit much, $29 is about right.

  • +1

Got it for PS3 and PS4. Wish they gave free PS5 upgrade.

    • +1

Neither of these games are on PS3 (?)

  • -1

Not much of an upgrade, other than 60fps and 120fps it should have been a free update? but that's sony for ya

    • Microsoft is not consistent with their "free" fps upgrades. Gears 4, there is only 1080p/60fps upgrade for Series S. Forza Horizon 3, there is no fps upgrade for Series S or X.

Uncharted 4, honestly, needs fast loading as well. I do replay Uncharted 4 on occasions, and I do switch between saves or just re-play certain chapters. However, letting players wait so long, instead of provide a quick free fps upgrade is quite unpleasant from Sony.

For Uncharted 4, I bought the digital edition for PS4, and got the $15 upgrade (with a movie voucher). I probably could have sold that movie ticket voucher to reduce the overall cost. To be honest, knowing my luck, games I purchased generally will reach PS Plus eventually.

Most people will be happy to get Sony first party exclusives in PS Plus, but the same cannot be said for XBox Live Gold. Before GamePass, I was able to get cheap physical copies of XBox first party exclusives. Now, not only it is not common to find those key exclusives on sale, it also feel kinda silly getting them.

Honestly, if you purchased games from great OZB deals, play quickly and trade them in or sell them, you are not really that much worse off. Also, I am certainly not happy RDR2 trade-in price for the XBox One version has been consistently lower than PS4 version. Forza Horizon 5, the first thing I did was buy the ultimate pack. Sure, you can grind it out easily in that game, but the quick boost from that pack makes the game more pleasant. So GamePass Ultimate isn't really that ultimate to be honest.

      • I love all the ps5 games that have instant loading you in it in a second. no wait. and i like quick resume saving too, you go to where you left off instantly between games. no delay

  • o yeah go this the other day I had to uninstalled the ps4 version of my uncharted 4 and lost legacy to play this and I dont' think any of the bonus items came over from the uncharted 4 special ps4 edition.

  • Currently $40.
