Nintendo Switch Online eShop Missing Games

We are looking for some driving games that can use a steering wheel for the switch. We came across need for speed. I looked at Google and it pointed me to Nintendo E shop. I tried to press into it but once I logged in it moved me to the Australian shop and the game disappeared. This has happened for a couple of other games as well.

I see that you can buy the physical version of the game in Australia so I don't really understand why this is happening. I can see that some games are not physically here so maybe they are blocked from the online shop as well.

So I need help with two things. Firstly what are good games I can use with a steering wheel? Secondly what is the problem with these E shop things?

  • Wheels suited for switch are generally not good, ie. No force feedback or rumble. So the only improvement over say controller might be turning accuracy.

GRID Motorsport us quite a good port on switch.

    • I see. That's not much fun then.
I was looking at wheels at the shops, and seems they're all for PC/xbox.
Actually wondered since they all seem to be 1player, is there a PC racing game that's nice & realistic and worth buying a wheel for (w/ force etc)? I have an rtx3060. That would be cheaper than buying an xbox.

      • Forza

      • If racing on PC, the options are sooooo much more vast. Plenty of racing games - the difference will be how realistic or challenging you want the game to be and multiplayer.

Eg. Forza is a food arcade/sim racer. The next mentioned get more 'sim' orientated - Project Cars 2, Assetto Corsa and Assetto Corsa Competitzione, automobalista, iracing…

Forza Horizon 4 or 5 is a good open world arcade racer.

Wheels will be either PC/Xbox or PC/PS4/PS5. Very few are PC/XBOX/PS4.

If getting for PC only though, I'd say get a PC/PS4 as they tend to have more buttons over the xbox equivalent which can be used on PC. As example the G29 and G920 are the same generation wheel but the first is for PS4 with the second for xbox. The G29 had more inputs so yiu cam control more features of the car.

        • I would like a 2 player split situation, which means buying 2 wheels. We play any of the ones in the arcades, I guess ones with drifting, moderately real, not shooting lasers etc.

Also considered whether to get a PS/Xbox. Not sure if we want another subscription which seems the mandatory thing nowadays.

But I would like sth with a rails point-at-screen gun shooter type game, like resident evil (?) on Wii days.
